Do you guys ever get upset when you break-up with the guy? Why do some girls make reasons or create problems to force the break-up? Why do some girls call the guy "clingy" when they're the ones saying "You're the rock in my life and I'd be lost without please marry me"? Why do some girls look at other guy in public and call them "cute" right in front of you but when you say "Hi" to a friend from school that is a girl they get all upset? Just questions...from personal experience

I think in my own personal experience (as a woman) that what you describe works the other way as well. I think it's just a case of hormones and seeing the reactions of the other half, me personally I don't really mind, but I'm not what would be classed as a typical woman, when I am in a relationship the man that I am in the relationship with usually gets all huffy when I talk to my friends (most of whom are boys) and yes I will admit I was sick with envy once when an old flame of mine turned up with another girl on his arm, I think it's just down to the way the relationship goes.

Usually possessiveness is a sign of insecurity.

 

As for the "causing a break-up" I don't really know what to say to that. it's usually down to the fact that the other half has done something that they don't like but they are too nice to justtell you to push off. (that's why I do it anyway).

 

And the marriage proposals... perhaps she's ready for the commitment... or thinks she is anyway.

I agree with this I can say that this can go for both sides and genders, unfortunately some people COUGHCOUGHHME do it subconsciously on spot, and don't realize it til after. I call everyone cute but I should start toning it down It's not good to make your partner jealous (no reason is justified), and it's especially worse if both parties do it back and forth...you cant have a relationship based on trying to male the other jealous. Again, it's not just girls, both sides of course do it too, since we re all human. Buuuuut it doesnt make it a good habit

 

I'm just speaking from my experience, I am NOT speaking on behalf of all women, but for me the "she is afraid of losing you" accurately describes me I know I gotta work on that, though, and catch myself when I do. its just not fair to the other person and cause feelings of inadequacy for them...which nobody ever wants their loved one to feel. Again, not speaking on behalf of all women, haha.

 

But i feel like a lot of people will call another person attractive in front of a partner as...reassurance, kind of? Like saying "Oh, _____ is so hot" could be like a way of saying "I need to know that you care about me and that I wont lose you", but it can often have the opposite effect. If anything it can push two people away even more. If this ever happens, honestly i would sit down with your partner, talk about feelings - as always, communication is key. just approach it nice, civil manner and if two people come to an understanding thats great! ^^

I dont know you two, so its probsbly not in my place to speak, but maybe she's just uninterested...i mean, what do you want to do? do you think you'll get back? either way, try taking this time to focus on yourself. hang out with some friends and bros and stuff :] Maybe keep this in mind for future relationships, but IMO if she thought you were clingy she should have said so, communication is sooooo important in relationships.

Thank you. She texted me once since she left me about 2 weeks ago. She was saying how I'm too busy with swim and that we never hang out or see one another and then when I started trying to set up biweekly date nights she started declining so I kept giving more suggestions that could compliment both our schedules but she just kept refusing. So then I said "Fine we won't work out a way to be with one another more often and we'll see how well that goes" then she said "........ok.......". She kept saying "I want us both to be happy" even though I said "I'm happy with you". She almost made me give the one true thing I love and that I'm good at that isn't considered nerdy. Then she kept apologizing and saying "Sorry and Let's be best friends" but I just kept saying "Goodbye". She said we might get back together when things "change" but her ex told me she said the same exact words. She has major daddy issues and even her best friend warned me about her emotional stability but I didn't listen....maybe she was uninterested. Maybe your right. It's just now when I hear her name or see her I tense up and if she's in close-range I just mess with my phone and talk quietly. I'll try and be friends but I feel almost...devoid of any feelings for her sometimes

As a girl the way i look at it is that if you broke up with them then that means you weren't supposed to be together.
