Nintendo removing Nintendo Video from eShop

Posted

At the end of the month, Nintendo will remove Nintendo Video from the Nintendo eShop.

Can anyone remind me the purpose of the 3D function in the 3DS?.....

Featured Replies

Well, that's a shame to hear. But I never really watch Nintendo Video since I have sites hat inform me on the gaming world such as IGN, MNN, ect.

As for the 3D function, it's just for anyone who wants to enjoy the games in 3D.

Do you know why they're taking it down?

It's most likely because not much people even watch Nintendo Video.

The North American version covers news, the Europe/Australia version just has cool 3D videos of stuff like trailers, real life, animated shows etc.

The big new feature in the 3DS was obviously the 3D. The 3DS has sold well, but it's not even going to come close to last gen.

Meh, Nintendo Video was just dumb little animations anyway. :/

The animations are available on the eShop. I'm more concerned about using the 3D function.

They just released the youtube app a while ago so duh why would we need nintendo video??

Besides, since when the Nintendo Video service was the sole function for the 3D feature??

the 3D wasn't the selling point of the 3DS as much as the games on the system were so I don't get the point of the 3D question

I doubt people got the 3DS cuz 3D,people got it to play games

What does the 3D function have anything to do with this?

Heck ever since the 2DS was out the 3D function is not an important point anymore because people bought the 3DS2DS for the games not the 3D function

the 3D function is gone a long time ago and it's not a selling point anymore, its the games that are the selling point

The 3D was the main new function.

Nintendo 3DS' YouTube app is a piece of shit. It plays videos in 240p and doesn't support 3D. Who on earth would use that?

Well you never know, maybe one day the 3DS will surpass the DS in terms of sales.

1No it wasn't and never was,do you play 3DS games in 3D,cuz I don't except in cutscenes and the people who got the 2DS and most 3DS owners didn't buy the system because of 3D they bought it to play games. If you bought the 3DS because of 3D then you wasted your money son

2People who just look up something quickly on the fly in a hurry maybe? If I want better resolution I have my laptop and other consoles with youtube apps in them if I want a long watch on youtube

It's called a 3DS for a reason.

A smartphone is much, much more convenient that that.

I seriously doubt it.

Tell me more about the future from that Crystal Ball of fortune you have there cuz I can't predict

And even if it didn't surpass it still sold a lot...a ton lot to make sure it's successful

the Ps3 was successful even though it didn't surpass the Ps2 sales

the N.A version didn't just cover news. There were also animated shows like Dinosaur Office, The Bravest Warriors.it also had music videos from artists like Big Time Rush, OK Go, and Linkin Park

And there is 2DS for a reason

Oh yeah oh yeah virtual buttons,Flappy Birds,Angry Birds and microtransactions are better than actual buttons and Shin Megami Tensei 4,Fire Emblem,Pokemon X&Y,RE Revelations,Ace Attorney Dual Destinies and the list goes on.

Vita and 3DS are much better than Smartphones in every single way possible

Every single way possible? Tell that to the hardware, tell that to the amount of people who use Android. Both of the handhelds in total have sold about 52 million. A smartphone can sell that easily.

Also, where is the source cuz I don't see any links

Tell that to the games

People use them not because of gaming but because of real life necesseties like Work

Can you honestly tell me that every person with an Android and Smartphones bought them just to play video games?

Cuz I'm sure that my Dad and my brothers didn't buy them to play Angry Birds

It's direct from the Nintendo eShop.

Yeah, FINAL FANTASY IV: The After Years looks pretty good in 3D.

Can you tell me everyone purchased a PS Vita just to play video games? You can't, because consoles are full of other content to enjoy.

It's called "PLAYSTATION" for a reason

People bought the Vita to play games first and use other apps later.

You're wasting your time embedding that silly video.

Anyway, so much for the 3DS.

What,I'm just showing my love for the amazing Jontron who I think got a 3DS for more than just 3D effects

Anyway I won't continue this discussion any further because if I did that might happen to me at the end of it

IT IS NOT INTENDED FOR GAMING. NO ONE, AND I MEAN NO ONE BOUGHT A PHONE FOR VIDEO GAMES.

And yet, the person you're responding to doesn't give a shit about some Jontron.

Tell that to developers like Square Enix.
