March 14, 201412 yr Well, that's a shame to hear. But I never really watch Nintendo Video since I have sites hat inform me on the gaming world such as IGN, MNN, ect. As for the 3D function, it's just for anyone who wants to enjoy the games in 3D. Do you know why they're taking it down? It's most likely because not much people even watch Nintendo Video. The North American version covers news, the Europe/Australia version just has cool 3D videos of stuff like trailers, real life, animated shows etc. The big new feature in the 3DS was obviously the 3D. The 3DS has sold well, but it's not even going to come close to last gen.

Both of the handhelds in total have sold about 52 million. A smartphone can sell that easily.
