Radiant Garden

Keyblade Academy

Indy made his way through the academy halls, glancing around at the rooms he passed by. I was told to meet with a teacher in the Gummi hangar... They said that there would be other students, too. What's so urgent that they'd call a few of us there? Is there something going on in other worlds...? Maybe they even have a mission for us... I've always wanted the opportunity to leave Radiant Garden, anyway... He thought to himself as he moved along, pondering what it is that he was ordered to meet there for.

He eventually reached the room, noticing that it was empty. "Hm... Well, I did try to get here early, anyway." He muttered, leaning against a wall. He appeared calm, but his mind was racing. Will I get to visit other worlds? Who else will I be with? Will I have a chance to see Allitt again...? He drifted into deep thought, not taking notice of his surroundings...

(And yes, the other students all received the orders, too.)

With the number of Nobodies dwindling, Annistha glanced back Ghost and Rei.

"I'll get Zion." She said. "Hang in there."

[Nexus Shift]

Zale took off like a sprinter, covering ground a little faster then his sister would.

[Nexus Shift]

Annistha took control in time to vault and jump up to Zion's position, acrobatics being more her field then Zale's. She landed beyond the woman in charge of the attack.

"Trade." Annistha said to Zion. "I'll help out here. Your daughter needs you, ma'am."

Somrene stood surrounded by a few of the last Nobodies. He growled lowly. He needed to get back to everybody else. He had been preoccupied here too long. One of them rushed at him. Somrene stared it down, ducking low at the last second and stabbing it in the abdomen. He used it's momentum to flip the creature over him, where it crashed on the ground and died. The rest of the Nobodies seemed a bit more hesitant now. Unfortunately for them, Somrene didn't feel the same way. He rushed forward into one, slashing downward, crushing it's spine, before swiftly turning, knocking one in the head with his hilt, then decapitating it. Another swung at him, but the son of Vincent parried it away, then lashed out at it's legs. It fell, and he stomped it's head in. One last one charged at him, but Somrene pivoted and shot out a fireball at him. As the despicable creature burned, he walked over to it and stabbed it in the chest. Somrene took a breath and glanced around his surroundings. There were no more to be found. Good. He would've hated to waste any more energy on these ones.

Ember lashed out at a Berserker with her keyblade. It seemed to barely register the hit, and began to swing at her again, but then his wound exploded into ice, and he disintegrated. Ember smiled at the spot where the opponent had been a moment before. "Not a very 'ice' guy huh?" It was a horrible pun, but Ember was too high on adrenaline to really care. She whirled around, stabbing into one, gracefully taking the keyblade out of it's body then slicing upward diagonally. It dissolved as well. One made a swing, but the daughter of Yuffie backstepped, letting the enemy be vulnerable, then leaping forward, stabbing through the unfortunate Nobody. She landed with enough grace to parry away another strike, and stab the now vulnerable Berserker. "How ya doin' over there Brook?" Ember called out over the clatter of battle.

"Miserably, nothing is challenging me in here." Brooklyn yelled back, disarming dove of the Bezerker's before cutting them all down, this time, however, he grabbed all five of the paddles and swung them around, nailing down about another six, and he was clear on his end. "You holding up alright..?"

Zion was glaring down at the woman who had hurt her baby. Seeing Annistha, she kicked the woman in the head again and backflipped off. She glided to her daughter and slid to her knees. Kissing Rei's forehead, she rested her head to her baby's chest.

"It's ok Rei...Pancakes got you..."

Rei hugged her mom's head. "I know mommy...I'm okay..."

"Alright?" Ember retorted, twirling up swinging her keyblade around her, decimating a few Nobodies that were around her. " I haven't had this much fun in ages!" She concluded her statement. She glanced over to Brooklyn. He was raising the Berserker blade again, but before he swung done, Ember shot out a Blizzard, freezing the group of Nobodies in front of him. They shattered into a million pieces, and the ice scattered over the floor of the mansion. A Berserker slipped on them in front of the daughter of Yuffie. As he fell, Ember stabbed down, killing it. Then she grinned broadly at Brooklyn.

"Nice, however..." Brooklyn threw a Bezerker's Claymore into a group behind Ember, decimating them, then throwing his keyblade, he shot through five more coming up in her side and re-summoned his Keyblade back to him, and jump kicked another Nobody behind him in the head, of course running it through as well, deciding to have a little more fun, he began to disarm the Nobodies one by one, watching them stumble and fall as they clamored to find their weapon again. Brooklyn chuckled a little before finishing them off.

Indy was revitalized by Toshi's spell, and managed to pull himself up. "Thanks." He muttered, still shaken by the Berserker's attack. He blocked the attack of one who was planning to eliminate him while he was knocked down, and shot a close-ranged fire spell at it, following up with a powerful slash. "What all did I miss? Everyone else is okay, right?" He asked, too focused on his enemies to look around and make sure everyone was safe.

Raidyn / Toshi

:"Everybody is doing their best," Toshi responded, looking on as Raidyn, Brooklyn, and Ember fought on.

"Especially me!!" Raidyn yelled upon hearing his name, jumping over to the two while slashing once through a Beserker that pounced on his friends. He landed in front of them with his back turned, holding his battle stance. Toshi decided to do the same in order to emulate him, taking Indy's back.

"I think we need to try something else. These hordes just keep coming. And even me of all people is getting a little tired of it," Raidyn commented. "Yo, Indy, Toshi, we need to group back together with Ember and Brooklyn. If we work together, we can blow all of these guys away for good!"

"Yo, Thunderboy, stand back and let an upperclassmen show you how this runs. I'm not even breaking a sweat yet." Brooklyn laughed a little. "This is beyond easy, and the only reason I've not ended it yet is because it's just too easy to warrant half my attention." He shoulder checked a Beserker into a wall and ran it through, then uppercut another oncoming one.

Raidyn

Raidyn, surprisingly, took offense to that comment by his classmate. He frowned, and replied, "Hey, don't be like that! We need to work together to win, Brooklyn! That's the only way we can end this!"

Joel watched as Striker cuffed the woman and the others gathered. If any Nobodies had survived Professor Zion's wrath, they had slinked off into the shadows. It seemed that the battle had been won, but...

"Why do I still feel slightly uneasy...?" he wondered aloud. His only guess was that there was more to come...

Brooklyn jumped on the heads of many confused Bezerker's, taking them all out after leaping to the next. "Maybe you, your quiet friend, and Indiana Jones need to, but myself and Ember are handling this quite fine." He, in the middle of jumps, was laughing in joy, with a almost creepy set of "Woo hoo" and "He he!"'s, and he then finished one by springing off of it's head, then flipping himself around, had him dive and slash through the Bezerker. "I'm pretty hungry, anyone up Italian?"

Train Station group (Doing this because I don't want to quote fifty billion posts):

A strange portal, similar to a Dark Corridor, but gray instead of black, opened up by the now unconscious girl. A person stepped out, wearing the same cloak as the girl who the group had just fought. He was joined by two Assassin Nobodies, which seemed to be there to guard him instead of to fight. "Hmph... I can't believe I actually have to do this. If she'd kept quiet and stayed out of sight..." He looked at the others around him. "Hm... Looks like these are some tough opponents. I'm not here to fight any of you." He announced to the group. If you give that girl to me, I'll leave and act like nothing happened at all. I'm not doing this because I want her, of course. I just don't want any of our secrets to get out... Especially to academy vermin such as yourselves." He snarled. "If you don't let me have her... You will have to suffer the consequences."

Mansion group:

"Come on Brooklyn, we need to cooperate." Indy was frustrated with his teammate. He's way too carefree... How does anyone enjoy these fights? He's completely ignoring us, too... He sighed. "Raidyn, Toshi, we don't need them. If the three of us work together, we should be able to wipe out the ones that are attacking us." He went into a more defensive position in order to work out a plan with the others.

"Co-Operate, noun, to work with another human in order to achieve a goal." Brooklyn began to spell out Co-Operate as he cut down Nobodies again, one for each letter and the hyphen. "That's enough co-operation for me today." He mumbled, German suplexing a Bezerker into another one, he then kicks upward into the air and onto the old chandelier on the roof, then he let go of it, falling down, he stabbed through the two piled up Nobodies and left a bit of damage to the floorboards.

Somrene glared at this new man. He didn't trust him. Not from the moment he stepped out here. And definitely not since he had called them 'academy vermin'. If that didn't scream 'bad guy' then he didn't know what did. Somrene took a step forward, making himself obvious. "You say consequences," He called out in a loud, clear voice. "But you don't say what kind. I think you're bluffing." The son of Vincent stood his ground, arms crossed and eyes daring this man to defy him.

~~~~
"My only interjection is that cooperate is a verb and doesn't have a hyphen." Ember said, flip-kicking a Nobody into the air, then slicing it in half as it fell. "Aside from that I agree." Ember concluded her thought, shooting a Blizzard at a Berserker about to cleave Raidyn in half. It froze in place long enough for Ember to lunge forward, crushing her ice sculpture with the hilt of Wutai Pride. "Teamwork is way more efficient, just in general," Ember said, continuing to cover Raidyn's back, slashing and stabbing away the Nobodies. "And efficiency is a warrior's best friend."
"Considering the context, it's a verb, as he wants the action of cooperation, and I add the hyphen in to just state they are pronounced separately, technically."  Brooklyn broke down a few more of the Beserker's. "And only when your teammates can keep up with you." Brooklyn added to Ember's statement about efficiency.
Raidyn / Toshi
"Alright, Ember! See, Brooklyn, she gets it," Raidyn said, giving Ember a light pat on the back. "Ember, stick with me, Indy and Toshi. Alone we might be pretty good, but together, we can pull off amazing things that can't be done with one guy! That's how Old Man Sora and his pals got things done back in the day, remember?" Raidyn said. In the back of his mind, he was a little skeptical at the things he was saying, only because he had set out to prove to the others how great he was by himself. But unlike Brooklyn, Raidyn knew when it was time to knuckle up and work with others, it seemed.
"I-I agree with Raidyn. We should work together," Toshi added, feeling a little more confident thanks to Raidyn's words.
Lucas seethed. "So, you two are partners is that it? Well, i don't think I or anyone else here will just stand by and let you get away with her, considering how she attacked us and this world." He got his keyblade at the ready. "We'll fight for as long as we have to."
[Twilight Town, Train Station]
With most of his attention focused on the subdued woman below him, Instructor Striker nonetheless was able to hear Somrene's fight off somewhere in the distance. It was at this time that the instructor realized that other than the students, himself, and the unconscious woman, there was no one else in the station. Where did all the civilians go? he wondered, then shook off the thought as he continued his preventative measures on the woman. He glanced over to Ghost, and saw Zion finally with her daughter. "Ghost!" the teacher authoritatively barked to his student, "Go check on Somrene!"
------
"Yes sir!" Ghost shouted, but immediately hesitated as Zion approached him. "Zion... I..." he whispered to the mother, his lips quivering with fear and sadness, "I'm so sorry. I... I didn't expect this to happen."
"Ghost! Now!"
"Sir! I'm sorry Ms. de Wynter, I have to go. Please take care of her." As he gently handed the girl to her mother, the young Sentinel rushed over to Somrene's location, only to see him moping up the last of the nobodies. "I'm assuming I came too late?" Ghost asked, the trauma still fresh in his head as he looked around the immediate area. A dark gray portal caught both their attention as a man stepped through, then demanded the woman that his instructor was currently sitting on top of. Somrene however, had other ideas. "You say consequences, But you don't say what kind. I think you're bluffing." Ghost merely grinned as he took up a defensive position near him, then glanced over to Zion and Rei. C'mon, Zion. Get her out of here.
Striker could only look at the man, appalled at his demands. "Sorry," he started, his tone neutral but slightly authoritative, "she has been labeled a threat to the balance of light and darkness of this world. By decree of the Legendary Keybladers, she will be detained until we get a pretty good picture of the scope and magnitude of her actions and possible damage."
Annistha turned to see the new player on the field as she listened to his speech.
"Oh no." She murmured.
Zale looked down at the girl who attack the group, then put a foot on her chest and his Keyblade at her throat.
"If she means so much to you, you should really watch your tone." Zale said darkly, an unpleasant grin spreading across his face.
Annoyed at the drastic change of events that had unfolded before him, Instructor Striker remained unusually stoic and calm as Zale threatened the woman that he was sitting on top of. Burn! Nice going, Nexus! Managing not to crack a grin, the focused instructor kept his eyes on the woman below him, watching for any signs that may deceive her next action if she was feigning unconsciousness. Joel, you better have another spell handy. This could get ugly, fast...
Ghost meanwhile, slowly but surely side-stepped towards Zion and Rei, keeping his eye on the newcomer. Stopping dead middle between Somrene and the de Wynters, the Sentinel-in-training kept his defensive stance, ready to use lethal force if necessary to secure the situation...
The man smirked. "I assure you, I'm not bluffing. And I don't care for her. In fact, if I could have my way, she'd be dead right now. However, things sadly won't work that way." He sighed. "Besides, I can't let her end up in the hands of people such as yourselves. It would be too dangerous for myself and the others. So, I'm afraid I'll have to stop you here. I personally do not like fighting myself, it's far too messy. Instead, I think this should do the trick..." He snapped his fingers, and the ground began to shake. "You might wish to go outside. That is, if you want to let the innocent people of this town survive. I'll let you hang on to the girl for now. If I'm lucky, she might die with you." He laughed, and left through another portal.
Mansion group:
"Alright, we've had to deal with these things long enough! Let's finish this off!" Indy joined the others for a team attack (Sorry for controlling everyone's characters here, we need to get this moving on), wiping out all of the Nobodies remaining in the mansion. "That's finally over..." He sighed. Shortly afterwards, the ground began to shake. "Wait, what's going on?" The mansion, shaking due to the tremors, seemed to be on the verge of collapsing. "Everyone, outside!" He dashed outside, only to find a large Nobody in the mansion's courtyard. "That's what they called a Twilight Thorn... They're way bigger than I'd ever imagined."
Joel could barely manage to maintain his balance. This guy doesn't like fighting... Yet he's capable of this caliber of magic?
"As much as I'd rather not listen to a bad guy," Joel told the others, "We probably should get outside."
Raidyn / Toshi
Both Raidyn and Toshi stayed by Indy as he dashed outside; they too witnessed the awesome might that was the Twilight Thorn as its tentacle like limbs swayed in the air.
"I kinda thought they might be a little bit bigger than this," Raidyn commented in accordance to Indy. "Then again, I never really payed attention to the tiny details in the books I read. Oh well. More importantly, we're REALY gonna need to pull out some teamwork if we're gonna take this thing down!" He said, now excited to fight.
"We should be careful. This being is on an entirely different level than the Beserkers we faced. I believe that Master Roxas had a hard time fighting one in his prime," Toshi commented.
"Well no offense to Old Man Roxas but he wasn't exactly in his prime at all in that fight. And frankly, he ain't me," Raidyn said arrogantly.
The man smirked. "I assure you, I'm not bluffing. And I don't care for her. In fact, if I could have my way, she'd be dead right now. However, things sadly won't work that way." He sighed. "Besides, I can't let her end up in the hands of people such as yourselves. It would be too dangerous for myself and the others. So, I'm afraid I'll have to stop you here. I personally do not like fighting myself, it's far too messy. Instead, I think this should do the trick..." He snapped his fingers, and the ground began to shake. "You might wish to go outside. That is, if you want to let the innocent people of this town survive. I'll let you hang on to the girl for now. If I'm lucky, she might die with you." He laughed, and left through another portal.
Mansion group:
"Alright, we've had to deal with these things long enough! Let's finish this off!" Indy joined the others for a team attack (Sorry for controlling everyone's characters here, we need to get this moving on), wiping out all of the Nobodies remaining in the mansion. "That's finally over..." He sighed. Shortly afterwards, the ground began to shake. "Wait, what's going on?" The mansion, shaking due to the tremors, seemed to be on the verge of collapsing. "Everyone, outside!" He dashed outside, only to find a large Nobody in the mansion's courtyard. "That's what they called a Twilight Thorn... They're way bigger than I'd ever imagined."
"Actually, I believe it's a bit short. The recorded average hight was around a foot and a half taller." Brooklyn input. "And honestly, if anyone wanted to solo this thing, it's easy so long as you ain't stupid about it. Attack the ankles and bring it to it's knees, then clamber onto it and hack away at it's head, then grab onto it's zipper and stab it until it dies. Simple."
Zale gritted his teeth in anger as the man formed a portal.
Annistha twirled the gunblade briefly to get it into gun mode, and tried to hit the man, but was too late.
"Blast!" She shouted.
She rammed the gunblade into its holster on her back and looked around the station.
"Everybody!" She yelled. "Get out of here!"
[Nexus Shift]
Zale stepped off his captive's chest and grabbed her by the collar.
"Watch my back." He said to Striker before dragging the girl to an exit.
