Kingdom Hearts: Fade into Light (Roleplay Thread)

Radiant Garden

Keyblade Academy

Indy made his way through the academy halls, glancing around at the rooms he passed by. I was told to meet with a teacher in the Gummi hangar... They said that there would be other students, too. What's so urgent that they'd call a few of us there? Is there something going on in other worlds...? Maybe they even have a mission for us... I've always wanted the opportunity to leave Radiant Garden, anyway... He thought to himself as he moved along, pondering what it is that he was ordered to meet there for.

He eventually reached the room, noticing that it was empty. "Hm... Well, I did try to get here early, anyway." He muttered, leaning against a wall. He appeared calm, but his mind was racing. Will I get to visit other worlds? Who else will I be with? Will I have a chance to see Allitt again...? He drifted into deep thought, not taking notice of his surroundings...

(And yes, the other students all received the orders, too.)

Somrene patted Indy on the shoulder as he passed by him. "Next time, you be co-pilot." The Son of Vincent said rather plainly, then walked forward towards the city in the distance. Meanwhile, Ember grinned excitedly at Brooklyn.

"That was awesome!" She said, smile in full gear. "It must have taken forever to find the individual blocks to make a ship like this." Ember said, admiring the gummi ship as she walked off the ship. She didn't really know much about gummi ships, but hopefully Brooklyn wouldn't notice...

"Most of it's custom, so yeah, it took a while." Brooklyn said, looking around the entrance to the town. "So, wanna go in and look around?"

At the academy...

Master Riku made his way outside of the academy, managing to find Striker. "Welcome back, Instructor Striker." He looked at the ship curiously. "She's in there... Right...?" He looked concerned. He hadn't expected them to run into a student while hunting down their new enemies.

Meanwhile, inside the academy, Master Sora waited inside the same room that all of the students had met in before. Hm... I hope he shows up this time. He thought.

Back at Land of Dragons...

Indy sighed in response to Somrene. "R-right... I'll do that..." He walked up to the rest of the group that had left the ship. "So, uh... Is everyone here...?" He asked, trying to look around.

(All right. Time to debut my character. Please note: I'm writing this in First Person View)

I finally finished my schoolwork. I decided to leave the Academy and head towards the Ravine just to chill. As I was about to leave the gates, one of the teachers came up to me. "Xamtweth! Master Sora is looking for you. He implores you to immediately head to his office or face far worse punishments than doubled schoolwork."

I groaned. So close to freedom, and I get dragged in. I don't want to make my punishment far worse than before thanks to my little stunt of not showing up at the mission briefing. Stuffing my hands into my pockets, I head my way to Sora's office.

I arrived at Sora's office and see him sitting on the chair. While he looks old, he is not to be underestimated. I learned it the hard way in the past week. I looked at him. "Yo, what is it you want?"

"Oh really?" I said, "But everyone else is gone, and I don't think you want anyone playing with your personal gummi ship though. Besides, you know I'm a solo player here."

"We've still got a few extra Gummi Ships you could use." Sora suggested. "We could probably even find someone to pilot you. You've got to go, though. Doesn't matter if you're a solo player or not."

Sheesh, looks like there's nothing I could do. He may seem caring, but I don't want to deal with him. While I was thinking about my decision, I looked out the window, and noticed something familiar coming out of the gummi ship. a girl that is tied up. Is that the student that left the Academy? I looked down the window. "Hey Sora, looks like they caught the student that took off recently."

The hum of the gummi engine of Brooklyn's ship came into earshot as it landed, of course, a sticky note was left on it as it transformed into it's bulkier counterpart. The sticky read as follows: "I saw that graceful landing, and knew you all would need some gummiblocks to do repair. Open up the side-panel by the nose of the ship, I have a small repair kit and gummiblocks of various color, shape, and kind for your use, should you need it.".

[Yes, Yuffie. A heart is capable of feeling emotions, too. :3]

[Radiant Garden Keyblade Academy]

Hearing Riku's voice, Striker quickly turned to face the master. His grip on the handcuffs around Allitt was still firm and steady, trying to detect any subtle motion from the girl that would betray her attempts of escaping. "Negative, Master" the instructor calmly addressed while saluting with his free hand, "The conspirator is standing right here." He nodded towards Allitt, showing no remorse nor emotion as he continued, "She sent nobodies after the students, one was fatally wounded during the confrontation. The situation was immediately contained and, as you can see here, the conspirator was successfully captured."

Meanwhile, at the Land of Dragons....

Ghost noticed a sticky note on Brooklyn's ship as it touched down. Curious, he walked over and read the note. Well... At least hotshot and I have some common ground: Gummi Ships. Following the note, he quickly retrieved the toolkit and the necessary gummi blocks needed to fix the Highwind. "You all go on ahead" Ghost told the other students as he walked back to the Highwind, "I'll stay back for a bit and fix the ship. Have fun!"

(I tried doing that in the other Rp at the beginning. It felt really weird, and when I switched to first person, I feel great ease with this method.)

Rei just...fell out of the Highwind, facedown into the snow. She lay there a perfect bunny girl imprint around her.

"Indy. You are never flying again. Either me or Ghost will. End of discussion."

She floated upwards and landed on her feet, Dusting herself off, she hopped right onto Ghost's back once he was on the ground.

"So, where to first?"

(I didn't start running yet, I'm waiting on Spider. lol)

(Whoops. Fixed that. Heh)Annistha glanced back at Rei, glad to see that the girl was doing well. [Nexus Shift]Recovered from his air sickness, Zale took control and began sniffing the air. Who ever was instigating these attacks appeared to have a grudge with the academy and might want to take it out on students. If so, Zale wanted to be ready.

Raidyn / Toshi

As Raidyn was waiting for Lucas to give him a response, he noticed that Somreme was already walking towards the nearby city. "Sorry Lucas, raincheck on that race. I'm just gonna go by myself. See ya!" Raidyn said to Lucas as well as the rest of the party as he gave a salute and ran off.

"Raidyn, wait!" Toshi called after, but immediately knew that it was pointless right after. "B-be careful," she said more softly, almost to herself.

Joel was the last (I think) to leave the Gummi ship. He jumped down to the ground and took in his surroundings. He took in a deep breath of fresh air.

He thought, but didn't say, the obvious: Guess we're headed to that city. Once Ghost finishes repairing the ship, at least.

He carefully observed the area once more and sighed. "I don't think there would be any dragons around this area." He walked up to Indy. "Are you sure we're at the right place?" he asked jokingly. "Just kidding. I guess seeing a dragon as soon as we get here is a bit of wishful thinking."

Master Sora

Sora peeked out the window, trying to spot what Xamtweth was looking at. "Where...? Oh, I see!" He grinned. "They found her! Perfect!" He got up, and ran to his office's door. "Oh, uh. you should come with me, Xamtweth." He said, and left the office.

Master Riku

"Hm... I see. Thank you for your work, Instructor Striker." Riku nodded. "I can take her from here. You should get back to the students." He suggested. He walked over towards Allitt, and gave her an emotionless stare. "Come with me. If you resist, I will not hesitate to fight back." He began to lead the girl away, but turned back to Striker. "Good luck with the mission." He began to head back to the academy.

Indy

Even bunny girl's mad about this? Man, I screwed up. Indy sighed, then noticed Joel. "I've heard there's a dragon who helped out Master Sora back on his very first quest, actually. A real life, fire-breathing dragon." He slightly smiled, seemingly curious. "I wonder what it looks like? It's probably huge, if it helped Sora out as much as it did."

Hmm? What's Sora up to? I have a funny feeling about this. I went along with Sora down the halls of the Academy. If only I had my Dad's pin, I could scan him. But Since I don't, I have no idea what's going on. We reached the doors of the Academy and went outside. I get a clearer picture of what's going on down there. It seems like the Heartless teacher went back into the ship and left the student with Master Riku. The winds blew the area surrounding the ship as the gummi ship lifted off to go back to wherever it came from.

Sora went ahead and walked up to Master Riku to talk to him and the student while I stayed behind.

"Hmmm... I think dragons have quite a long lifespan. Maybe we can find the same one!" Joel was now eager to press forward and find this legendary dragon. Little did he know that reality can be quite different from expectation.

Lucas walked alongside Joel and Indy. "Yeah, i wanna see a dragon too, but we just got here. It probably is a bit too much to ask of that."

Lucas nodded. "Yeah, that would be cool! Hey Indy, any chance you know the dragon's name?"

"The dragon's name was Mushu." Somrene said, in answer to Lucas' question. Studies of a copy of Jiminy's journal had been required in the Valentine household, and Somrene had quite enjoyed reading them. Ember on the other hand, found anything other than combat or physical training boring. Speaking of his sister, the Son of Vincent glanced towards her. Ember continued to smile at Brooklyn. "I'm totally down for checking out the town! Do you have any idea how this particular world has changed since Master Sora's prime?" She asked the orange- haired Wielder. The young ninja seemed rather curious.

"Well, likely they have a lot more in terms of items than they use to- with the world's bilingual so open now, and traversing them being so easy, it's probable that they have a lot of goods and..." Brooklyn began to sort of just babble bout cultural and lifestyle changes that might have taken place within that time period, but when he noticed his rambling, he stopped himself. "...sorry, I don't know why, but I have a habit of looking way too deep into things."

Lucas looked towards Somrene. "Mushu, huh....I kinda get the feeling that i've heard something about him being not what most people expected...Eh, it's probably nothing."

Raidyn

Seeing the town in the horizon, Raidyn limbered himself up a little before activating his Flash Dash so he could have time to spare; he jet down the snow and rock and then through a small village at the bottom and into a long trail until he found himself at the gates of the city.

"Whoa... it's waaay bigger than I imagined," Raidyn said, craning his neck up to the giant gates in front of him, which appeared to be open. He made his way inside, where a large flat square of cement met him, as well as the large palace that sat behind it.

"Hmm... okay lets see..." Raidyn said, titling his head and thinking to himself. "The guy who lives here is called... The Emperor! Yeah! And he's the guy who Mulan works for now!" Raidyn exclaimed, recollecting the information he studied on the Land Of Dragons. He then made his way towards the palace.

Toshi

Maybe I should have gone with him... oh, but even if I did, I wouldn't be able to keep up with him... Toshi thought to herself, looking out on the snow below. At this point, sitting and waiting for Raidyn to magically come back as well as hoping that he would be okay wasn't really cutting it for her anymore. She wanted to see this out for herself. After all, Raidyn may had studied the events of the world, but he still could not predict what would happen to him. Twilight Town made that clear.

"E-excuse me, everyone?" Toshi softy called to her teammates still on the moutain. "W-will somebody please come with me to see where R-Raidyn is? I-I'm afraid of going alone!" She didn't want to admit that last part, but she was too innocent to actually lie.

Lucas looked towards Somrene. "Mushu, huh....I kinda get the feeling that i've heard something about him being not what most people expected...Eh, it's probably nothing."

(Little did Lucas know that that 'nothing' was actually a very big something.)

"We should all go," Joel said in response to Toshi's request. "It would be best if we catch up to Raidyn before he gets the opportunity to get himself into any trouble."

(I don't think "big" is the right word to use when saying anything about Mushu. :P)

Master Sora

Master Sora and Master Riku spoke to each other, far away enough that Xamtweth couldn't hear them. After a while, Sora returned to Xamtweth, while Riku entered the Academy with the prisoner in tow. "Sorry about that... Important matters. Anyway, you'll probably need someone to go with you... Besides, going solo in a Gummi Ship would probably get really boring. Do you have any specific pilots you want with you?

Indy

"I agree with Joel. Let's all go down to the town over there. We might get some leads for the mission while we're there. The dragon's probably going to be there, too." He went over to Toshi. "Let's hurry up before we lose track of him...

I still say IndyXToshi and RaidynXAllitt :P

After talking with Riku, Sora returned to where I was standing while Riku and the prisoner walked past us. The prisoner looked familiar, but the memory escapes me. All-something? Oh well, don't see why I should care. Sora started speaking to me. "Sorry about that... Important Matters. Anyway, you probably need someone to go with you... Besides, going solo in a gummi ship would probably get boring. Do you have any specific pilots you want with you?"

I thought about his question. I'm pretty good with piloting thanks to the time spent in Gummi simulators. Although, I would leave customization to someone else. I would be fine by myself. "I got great grades on Gummi ships, and Aced Gummi Simulators, so I think I'll be fine by myself. Where you want me to go?"
