Radiant Garden

Keyblade Academy

Indy made his way through the academy halls, glancing around at the rooms he passed by. I was told to meet with a teacher in the Gummi hangar... They said that there would be other students, too. What's so urgent that they'd call a few of us there? Is there something going on in other worlds...? Maybe they even have a mission for us... I've always wanted the opportunity to leave Radiant Garden, anyway... He thought to himself as he moved along, pondering what it is that he was ordered to meet there for.

He eventually reached the room, noticing that it was empty. "Hm... Well, I did try to get here early, anyway." He muttered, leaning against a wall. He appeared calm, but his mind was racing. Will I get to visit other worlds? Who else will I be with? Will I have a chance to see Allitt again...? He drifted into deep thought, not taking notice of his surroundings...

(And yes, the other students all received the orders, too.)

Brooklyn strolled out of the clocktower with three ice cream bars on him, one in his mouth, he looked for and found Ember and her brother and gave them the ice cream, without a word said, and walked away.

Catching what Raidyn said to himself, Annistha face palmed. He had to say that.

[Nexus Shift]

Zale turned and grinned at Raidyn.

"Maybe a round or two after this mission." He said, the pausing as if listening. "Ah, I forgot."

Zale jogged back into the ship and lifted a storage hatch. Inside, was a gunblade and holster designed for the back, put there by one of Annistha's teacher friends. They had been experimenting with adding another weapon to their fighting style, and the gunblade was a good compromise.

Zale walked out of the Highwind, testing its balance of the gunblade in sword mode in his left hand.

"Nice." He murmured.

[Nexus Shift]

Annistha swirled the gunblade, shifting it too gun mode before aiming down its sights.

"This should make things more interesting." She said, an oddly excited tone in her voice.

The Gummi Ships landed by the Clock Tower in Twilight Town. After it was safe to leave, Indy made his way out of the ship, and stepped outside. "So, this is what it's like in another world..." He muttered, looking around. It still looked practically the same way it did in all of the pictures that he'd seen of it from back when Sora and his friends visited. "So, uh... Where do we go now, anyway?" He asked.

The gentle jolt of the Gummi Ship Overwatch's landing gears making contact with the ground of Twilight Town was welcoming to the veteran instructor as Ghost popped back into the cockpit with Rei cradled in his arms. "I'm assuming we're here?" the student asked, looking outside the cockpit windows and seeing the clock tower with his own eyes for the first time. "I gotta admit. It looks a lot more beautiful in person. Those pictures in the textbook does this magnificent piece of architecture no justice."

"Wouldn't it be hilarious if it just came crumbling down?!" Striker suddenly snickered, "Oh man, soooooo many jimmies would be rustled!"

"You sir, are twisted!"

"Sorry, the thought just hit me. C'mon! The other student's boots are already on the ground! Git out there, Ghost!"

Striker, Ghost and Rei promptly exited the relative safety of the Overwatch and looked around, then set their gaze on the Highwind. "Regroup with the students, Ghost. And please keep your PDA to a minimum unless your girlfriend starts it, then at that point you have the right to reciprocate. Keep it professional: Afterall, you're on a mission."

"Understood, Instructor. Let's meet up with the students." After Ghost gently placed his girlfriend down so she could walk, the two boys made their way to the group of students.

(Suddenly, the clock tower blew up, knocking everyone off their feet, as well as the plot ten pages away.)

"Well, looks like the other ships got here, too." Indy looked around at the group. "I'd say we're about read to head out. We decided to go to the old mansion and the train lines first, since they're the most suspicious locations." He described to Ghost's crew and Brooklyn. "I say we hit the mansion, first. Besides, I always wanted to visit the place, anyway." He began to make his way down to the town streets. "Let's go."

"Aye, aye, captain." Brooklyn replied sarcastically, starting to walk to the mansion.

"Hey, I be the Kapp'n of this here crew! Yarr!" Cid follows the two, a joking smile streaked across his face; but then again, when ISN'T a while on his face?

Raidyn / Toshi

"Alright then! Onward to the Mansion! Come on Toshi!" Raidyn said, rekindling his past excitement as he and Toshi followed the others, Raidyn enthusiastically becoming the head of the crowd with Toshi closely behind his heels.

Rei blinked. That old place? Pff.

"It's always abandoned..." She hopped along (not literally), holding Ghost's hand. "Why does everything happen at that decrepit place?" She sighed.

Zion ate some ice cream. "Indy. You said there was two different place to check, right? Why not split up and cover more ground? Just curious." She asked, her awesome telepathic comm system working - somewhat. Still experimental. Damn, Striker needed to pass out headsets.

Joel woke up to see that everybody was gone. What the...?! He looked left and right for any traces of his teammates. That's when he realized that the ship was no longer moving. They had landed.

Joel quickly unfastened his seatbelt and rocketed out of the Highwind. Not having the time to take in his surroundings, he saw the rest of the gang heading off somewhere. He ran up to the first person he could lock on to - which was Cid - and bonked the boy in the head with a karate chop. "Some friends you are," Joel said sarcastically. "So, where are we going?"

"Well... That could work, too." He felt bad for not thinking of that. "Well, I'm going to the old mansion. Who's with me?" He asked, looking around at the others.

"Er... Sorry." Indy tried not to laugh. "We're sending one group to the old mansion, and another to the train lines."

Upon the karate chop, Cid turned his head a creepy 100°, and said, "You karate chop me again, and it won't just be me in pain..." He twisted his head back with a crack, and said in his usual cheery self, "We're heading to the creepy abandoned mansion. Ooh...abandoned mansion...wonder if we'll find ghosts...or better...Heartless!"

(I said turn. Not tilt. You know. Like an owl.

Pretty sure I just called Cid an owl, but whatever.)

Rei jumped forward.

"I volunteer Ghost and myself for the train station!" She grinned.

"Sorry Cid. Nothing personal," Joel said with a laugh. Internally, however, he was still freaked out about Cid's personality suddenly doing a 180.

"Um, I guess I'll go check out the train lines," Joel was about to say when Rei peppily beat him to the punch.

"Hope you don't mind if I tag along," he said as he turned to the girl.

Ghost nodded to Indy as the posse of keybladers started making their way to the Old Mansion. All, except his Instructor, who started walking off in a different direction. "Striker?" he asked, "Where are you going?"

The instructor smiled at his student. "If you want to earn your sigil, you gotta learn to operate without an instructor breathing down your neck. I'm off to check out Fort Nightingale, so you know where I'm going. After that, I'll be near you, doing what I do best: Out of sight, but nearby if you ever need me. But before I go, hold out your tactpad." Ghost extended his left arm until it was level with the ground, and the instructor did the same and bumped the two gadgets together. Striker smiled. "Now you have all the info on the students that have tagged along. Just memorize their names and faces, and you'll be fine. Best of luck, and have fun!"

After exchanging their goodbyes and their salute, Ghost ran to catch up with the group while reading through the new plethora of information. "Nexus: Annistha and Zale. Indy. Cid. Raidyn and Toshi. Aaaannnnd Mr. Hotshot Brooklyn. This shouldn't be too hard."

He managed to arrive back with the group just in time to hear Rei volunteering herself to split with the group. "Hey! Sorry about that. Anything important I missed?"

"Sorry Cid. Nothing personal," Joel said with a laugh. Internally, however, he was still freaked out about Cid's personality suddenly doing a 180.

"Um, I guess I'll go check out the train lines," Joel was about to say when Rei peppily beat him to the punch.

"Whell, I hope you two don't mind if I accompany you," he said as he turned to the girl.

Lucas ran after Joel and finally caught up as he talked to Cid, and he stopped out of breath. "I thought i wouldn't catch up to you man. So, where we going anyway? Where exactly are we?"

Brooklyn barely seemed to care about what the others were doing, except maybe that Ember character. Normally he was found too rude and stuck-up to be talked to like a normal person, yet she hardly seemed phased at all. Still, his attention was on the mission. He wanted to finish early and see if he could check out a book from a local library. He had an odd sense of, for lack of a better word, nostalgia when he was in a library, reading some sort of history on the Keyblade or some other event important to history's existance, mainly from reviewing strategic plays in past conflict. Placing in a set of earbuds, he listened to some music, wether from Sum41 or Papa Roach or any other band in-between, it didn't matter. "Everybody's got their problems... Everybody's got to deal with the same things you do, its just about how you solve them..." He lightly hummed to himself.

Rei smiled at Joel.

"More the merrier!" She said brightly.

"Hope you don't mind if I tag along," he said as he turned to the girl.

Rei smiled at Joel."More the merrier!" She said brightly.

After finally catching his breath and regrouping with the other students, Ghost couldn't help but overhear Rei's remark. "Wait. We're splitting from the pack? Are you sure that's a good idea?"

"Alright!" Joel cried enthusiastically.

Ghost, who had been away for a bit, had just rejoined the group at the right time and said, "Wait. We're splitting from the pack? Are you sure that's a good idea?"

"What's the matter Ghost?" Joel asked jokingly. "I'm sure there's nothing that we can't handle together. But you still have a point. Maybe we should divide into equal sized parties."

Ghost sighed as he scratched the backside of his head. "I was thinking it would be easier if we all travel as one large pack. We'd finish this faster and not have to worry about complicating what's supposed to be an easy task. If we split up, we'd better have some way of communicating to each other so we can all stay in touch." He looked around at the group of students. "Besides, the old mansion is gonna be big, so having everyone there would mean we can cover more ground there as well."

Raidyn

"Splitting up huh? Well if we're doing that, then I wanna be the leader of one the parties!" Raidyn enthusiastically told the group. He figured he might as well start looking big for the others so they could really get an idea of how good he was. After all, nobody really took him that serious anymore, and whether or not the majority of people around him (sans Toshi, Indy, and maybe some of the other people he talked to) fell into that category, he wanted to prove himself either way.

Ember had managed to tell Raidyn her name before the ship landed. She skipped off, Somrene following suit slightly behind. They listened to the conversation at hand quietly, before Ember finally found a place to pipe up. "Alright, it's settled! Brooklyn and I will go check out the mansion. Som, whatcha gonna do?" Ember asked her brother, not permitting time for Brooklyn to resist. Her brother shrugged.

"I suppose I'll go over to the train station." He said indifferently.

"Eh...?" Brooklyn made a slight whimper. "Is this what a friend is supposed to be like?" He asked himself. "I'm not sure how to react to this development..." He thought, song changing again, his mouth moved to the words, and in a very soft mutter he began to sing the tune. "Cut my life into pieces, this is my last resort..."...
