And hooooly shit this is AWESOME ^_^....like wow I've been surprised,I know I'd like the game when I play it but now I even love it more

I'm now at the point where we meet Sabin and later on the party gets separated after that raft segment and I'm loving every second of this game so far.

Also, this soundtrack right here sealed it for me.Nobou Uematsu if officially my favorite video game composer of all time

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TFoGXzSbDw8

It's like Nobou has hands of golds for music

Though one thing,if you're gonna play FF6....DON'T PLAY THE PS1 VERSION AT ALL!!!

For some reason this version has slowdowns everytime you save the game, the transition to battles is slower than the SNES version by a lot and the possible glitches that you can encounter in the PS1 version are more than the SNES version

Just pick the SNES,GBA or the Virtual console version of the game. The only reason I got the PSP version just because of the convenience of having it on my PsP.....I tried the iOSAndroid version from my friend's iOS and it felt so awkward to control and the new sprites are weird and not as appealing to me as the FFIV PsP version sprites

I have the Virtual ConsoleGBA and PS1 version of the game currently

I'll alternate between FFVI and FFX as of now so it might take sometime for me before I attempt to review VI....I might finish 9 first so I hope you guys are looking forward to that.....assuming I have any degree of well-known to begin with

Oh

Another question:Is Kefka's Tower a point of no Return....y'know like not being able to return until finishing it?

Obviously I won't enter Kefka's Tower until I'm at least Lv45 and got all the characters

Also, should I level up my other Party members ?

Yes you can leave the Kefka Tower at any moments and yes you need to level up all your party members, the party will be divided into 3 separated groups.

Well, that's gonna be a lot of work,do you know a good spot for grinding ?

And I have the EXP.Egg which will make grinding much easier hopefully

As for my Party members I'll level up those group:

Terra,Edgar,Gau,Relm

Celes,Shadow,Strago,Setzer

Sabin,Cyan,Mog,Locke.

I'm still not sure about Umaro and Gogo

I haven't played the game in a while, but I believe the dinosaurs gives a lot of exp.

Is there an enemy that can regenerate other enemies?Y'know like the Puppeteer and the Puppets in FFIV

There's a forest that's awesome for leveling up.  I believe it's located below Maranda, but I'm not entirely certain.  It's populated by mighty dinosaurs, but they let off loads of experience.

Regarding your parties, they all look good (and, interestingly enough, very similar to my own!).  You may want to consider swapping out Gau for Gogo, though, as Gogo mimicking Terra's ultima becomes VERY useful later on.  That, or try throwing him in the party with Sabin and give Cyan to Terra's group.  Gogo mimicking Bum Rush is awsome.

I'm now at the Phoenix Cave looking for Locke,

The two groups I made consist of

Terra,Edgar,Shadow,Gau

Celes,Mog,Sabin,Setzer

Btw,Shadow deals so much damage with the Ninja Star than he does with the Shurikens, also,I heard Shadow can learn Jutsus just like Edge from FFIV....is it possible?

I'll let Gogo mimic Sabin since Bum Rush deals so much damage, that and I still need to find the Esper that teaches Terra the Ultima Spell

I might need Gau is a healer since he has the most HP out of all my party members so with enough defense boost he can be my healing tank so I can save Terra's MP for offensive spells

The only way to learn Ultima is through the Esper called Ragnarok, which can be obtained in the weapon shop in Narshe only by Locke (the door is locked, and this is where you need the lock picker. : P)  You have the choice of making a weapon out of Ragnarok, but I would personally opt for keeping the magicite and teaching all of your strong magic users Ultima.  It's the strongest Esper in the game, and well worth it.

Hmm, Gau heals?  That's neat; I really should try using my Gau in this way sometime.  Do you typically have Relm do very much?  I could never find much use for her myself, sadly.

Relm is a great magic user but her biggest problem is her low HP and pathetic defenses, that makes her so fragile and I want members that can survive strong hits

So I pretty much tossed her for Celes.

Also, another reason for me to use Gau is that...I wanna feel different as I haven't seen a lot of Gau users around.

Another question:The sidequest with Gau's father,I heard that I need Locke,Edgar and Sabin in my party to trigger it...is that true?

You only need Sabin and Gau.

And gau can be awesome healer with the magic urn rage(resistance to all elements+status effects, and casts curaga)

And you can get ultima also by the paladin shield, but to get that shield, you have to fight 256 battles with the cursed shield(also at narshe with locke), which infilicts many status effects and reduce your stats, however, getting the esper is still better than getting the sword.

where can I encounter the Urn monster so I can find it later on in the Veldt?

I'm teaching Gau curaga as of now and I gave him the Aegis sheild but I'll try to teach him the Urn rage as soon as I can

I know of one other person who's fond of Gau, interestingly.  He's certainly a likable wild child.  Uwao!

Anyhow, I couldn't agree more regarding Relm's weak defense and low HP.  It's a bit problematic, and I too tend to avoid using her.  I also can't seem to get much benefit out of using her Sketch ability.  It's a neat concept, though maybe it just doesn't fit with my personal combat style.  My favorite party would consist of Celes, Locke, Sabin, and Terra, and this was the party that I took in for the final fight.

Regarding the additional side quest with Gau's father: Lulus1 would be correct in that only Sabin and Gau are needed.  If you've got the time I'd highly suggest doing the quest; it's hilarious!

It probably adds more to the story, but I'm fairly certain that you can activate most of the scene using just Sabin and Gau.

You'll still need Odin.

Where can I get Odin, does he uses Zantetsuken in battle like Odin from FFIV?

Go to Figaro then travel undergrownd, and the castle will get stuck in the middle of sand, go to the prison area and use the wormgate.. travel all the way and reach an old castle... you will find odin there...

Along with a statue of a woman that resembles Celes that will upgrade Odin.

I heard that Odin increases the Speed stats before upgrading.....Should I grind a little bit with him before upgrading?

Nope just upgrade Odin once you got him.

Alright then, although Zantetsuken would've been useful for grinding,I've used Odin a lot in FFVII especially for grinding in the northern crater

The upraged version has an upraged  Zantetsuken.
