in XIII,Lightning wasn't actually the main character of the game,in fact,the game focuses more on Fang and Vanille and their struggle as L'cies from Gran Pulse whom they end up on the same utopia they were tasked to destroy but they end up sacrificing themselves to save it

 

So,why aren't they,and the other characters for that matter,be present on the box of the game instead of just one?

 

and XIII-2 was more about Noel and Serah's Journey in the timeline,so why the North American box doesn't include them when they're the only playable characters in the game aside from Mog and the monsters you capture?

 

Don't you think it's a bit misleading especially in XIII-2's case?

Vanille was nearly the main character in FINAL FANTASY XIII.

 

You could make the same case for FINAL FANTASY X with Yuna.

 

The Chinese version features Serah in the cover art. 

 

Yeah, it really is a tad misleading, since a lot of the narrative is actually from Vanille in XIII as well.  I suppose they wanted to choose an idolizing figure, and Lightning just seemed like the person to do this with.  In a way, I'm just glad that Lightning isn't the main character in all three installments; she's really not my favorite.  And no, I'm not a Lightning hater, but rather I find her boring, slightly irritating, and like Vanille and Noel so much better.

I used to love Lightning so much,I really did,for a while she was one of my favorite females alongside Samus from Metroid

 

 

............until She became the Savior where I hated her with every fiber of my being

I guess its like Tidus and Vaan,the story is not focus around them,but for some reason they are the main characters
