Apparently some track at the end of the game has licensing issues and has prevented Square Enix from releasing Crisis Core -FINAL FANTASY VII- digitally.

I heard this on Square Enix Europe's forums and various other sources.

Can anyone confirm this?

It's possible, but I'm always skeptical of people saying they "heard" this rather than knowing it to be true and being able to back it up with something somewhere.  To me it looks more like a rumor, especially since they could quite easily change the ending song if it were an issue.  No one on the forum you linked to sounded very certain of their assumption, and after doing a bit of research online I cannot find another source which states this.

I think we know what that track is that has licensing problems (hint: starts with W)

I think it's a song used in the credits....that's where Square mostly use a licensed song like Leona Lewis's My Hand in FFXIII

True, but I can't see them removing a song for a digital version. Digital versions are supposed to identical.
