Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida banned from Miiverse twice

Posted

Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida has revealed that he was banned from Miiverse a couple of times. Yoshida, who leads the firm’s PlayStation sector, violated the Miiverse code of conduct by promoting his Twitter handle – @yosp – and by expressing his affection for the PlayStation brand. The Sony executive previously confirmed that he owns two Wii U consoles.

“The first time was because I had my Twitter account in my profile and that’s against the rules,” Yoshida said. “The second time is because I wrote, ‘I love PS.’ You’re not supposed to promote a commercial product in MiiVerse, so they correctly interpreted ‘PS’ as PlayStation.”

Wow, that's stupid. Didn't they at least give him a warning? Nope? Automatic ban? Okay whatever.

They've probably sent him one or two, there isn't something as instant ban cuz otherwise the stupid posts in the Smash community in Miiverse would've been totally erased

So yeah,I'm sure they've sent him one before

Besides,I don't think you want your competitor to promote his stuff on something you've made, this is like if Marvel Advertised their new Captain America movie on DC's official site and put Marvel posters in front of WB studios

wow how can that even happen to him?

I don't think there is a special account system that says "For CEO" and I don't think the mods in Miiverse would know he's the real actual Shohei Yoshida.

Heck what happened to him can happen everywhere.

Let's say if I streamed an Xbox One game using the Ps4's Playroom.....I would've got banned immediately

He should of new that he was violating the miiverse code of conduct so that wouldn't have happened to him a couple of times. I'm just surprised that he forgot the code of conduct.

Well I bet he knew and thought that he can do anything because he knows once this goes to the internet people is gonna be like:NAINTAINDO ES EEEEEEEEEEEEEVIIIL

Besides, people are violating the code of conduct everywhere:Facebook,Twitter,PSN,Xbox Live...you name it,so I don't think Miiverse would be safe either

Heck I once got a mail in my PSN account that told me that "Titanfall is available now, only on Xbox One"

This sounds about right. It's not like Yoshida doesn't love his Wii U systems though. He fairly enjoys playing on them.

He actually bought two Wii U's,one for himself and the other for his daughter if I remember
