This interview is from back in October. Many people would assume Russel Brand isn't the smartest man out there. Truth is, he's an extremely intelligent man who understands how the world works in this day and age, and he's quite pissed about it.

I've held views such as Russel's for quite a few years now, seeing how voting became an important part of my life last year. I had already chosen not to vote at all. Not voting was better than voting for no change at all. I've been waiting for the day a revolution strikes up, but until then, I'll keep my views to myself. This world is falling apart faster than most would believe.

This is a stunningly naive and overly simplistic view on politics and power structures, with the typical fault of demanding that everything change, but not actually be able to provide any insight on how to create a system that would still function well enough to meet their agenda.

Although I agree he didn't offer ideas for a new system, I don't necessarily think he was claiming to hold all the answers either. He was trying to draw attention to the issue, and yes demanding change was part of that. It's true he could have elaborated, but again, I don't think his purpose was to describe how. In the beginning of the video he admitted he knew little of politics, so I didn't expect to hear a solution from him. I was more interested on how he felt about it all.
