For those who don't know, in Dirge of Cerberus, if you had collected all of the G files by the end of the game, you got this cutscene.

They left it on this amazing cliffhanger, and they need to go through with it. One of the main reasons Crisis Core was created wasn't only to give Zack a backstory, but Genesis as well for this probable sequel. If it wasn't, then this scene wouldn't be in the game connecting it to dirge of cerberus.

That cliffhanger with Genesis in the secret ending of DoC hyped me so much...it'll be absolutely epic to have a final showdown against Genesis

except the XIII saga doesn't have a millionth of the quality of the VII saga. Also, why does everyone dislike DoC? Because it's a shooter? I loved it. And nah, the saga needs to go out with a bang. Vita doesn't have any bang bang.

I actually loved Dirge of Cerberus despite some of the unnecessary elements,and Dirge of Cerberus is 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 times better than Lightning Returns that's for sure ^_^

 

Heck I for one loved how they mixed the RPG elements with the third person style....heck it's more similar to Devil May Cry than a TPS game

Either way, there's a good chance Toriyama would direct both games since Kitase is Toriyama's producer. I'd hate to give Nomura a new VII game, he'd have to shift it to PS5.

I have to agree with sora on this one, I don't want another FFVII anymore than I want an X-3. I don't care if they had cliffhanger endings. Crisis Core was the only VII spinoff that I liked.

X-2 does not need a sequel. Hell, X didn't really need a sequel...The Compilation of Final Fantasy VII has been on a cliffhanger for 8 years. It's time to finish it.
