Kingdom Hearts: Decolor Censura (Sign-Ups and Discussion)

Posted

200 years ago, the Keyblade and its wielders were hailed as saviors of the worlds, despite the weapons checkered past, which included the destruction of the world we had known. So, our ancestors didn't speak up when wielders of this Keyblade started taking up ruling positions in the worlds. Less then 100 years later, these wielders ruled the known worlds. Since then, we have loved under their heels as they fight and squabble amongst themselves, paying the price of war with our blood. Even in times of 'peace', those of us unchosen by the Keyblade are still considered little better then play things by the Keyblade wielding masters. As yet another war between the Light and Dark wielders, it is time for us to speak and say 'no more.' It is time for those crushed between to rise up retake their destiny. For the Gray in between the light and darkness to judge those who abused their power.

It is time for the Decolor Censura.

Censura~ Language of origin: Latin. Meaning: Judgement.

The Basics:

It has been 200 years since the events of the Kingdom Hearts series. Since then, Keyblade wielders have grown in power till the rule most of the known worlds in some form or fashion. Those who cannot Wield the Keyblade are treated like 2nd class citizens at best, with several worlds treating them much worse. Dark and Light Keyblade wielders war endlessly with each other, with non-wielders expected to serve as foot soldiers and canon fodder.

There is currently a truce in place, but anyone can see that it is only a matter of time before the war starts up again.

A group calling them selves the Decolor, a shadow group some still call a myth, strike against the Keybladers through assassination, sabotage, and hiding those how speak out against the wielders despotic rule. The two leaders of the Decolor are spoken of like legends, even by some of the Keyblade Masters. They are looking for more willing to fight for freedom. Though the Decolor lacks the strength for an open rebellion, it is only a matter of time...

~*Rules*~

1) Yuffie Kisaragi is 2nd in command of this little scout troop, so what she says goes.

2) trying to keep the rp in a PG-13 range.

3) While power corrupts, uncorrupted Keyblade Wielders are acceptable, just realize that they will have a bit of a hard time from the other Keyblade Wielders and the Decolor.

4) Thou shalt not kill another player's character, unless that player grants thee permission.

5) Godmodding is prohibited, as it detracts from the fun.

6) There is NO...rule 6.

7) This is the one you were actually looking for, where the sneaky rules maker hides a word you're suppose to put at the bottom of your character sheet to prve you read the rules. The word of today is "Judgement".

8) if there is anything you want to keep secret about your character, you can send me a PM (or Yuffie, if she's alright with that).

9) Anything else I forgot.

10) {New} If any argument over a fight that lasts longer then half a page (10 posts) without an agreement being reached between the players involved, then I will take action to separate the two combatants. I will try to do so while remaining respectful of your characters, but if I post they were split up, they will split up.

Ah, collapse and recovery from exertion. Fantastic for story realism, poor for constant play. Hmm...I might have a way around that, using the time altering abilities of Never Never Land. You could hide there (most likely debris field of where it once was) and fast forward a few days. Works for y'all?

Up to Oathkeeper, but I'm down with it.

Works for me.

Neverland it is.

Alright. I can have Freyja get you there, if you'd like.

No can do.

Eternal Fire is not near Freyja. Its in hyperspace

If they have communication, Freyja can send a copy of herself over. If you'd rather not, I could think up something new or leave it in your hands.

Name: Blore

Age: At this point, really, really old.

Gender: Male

Alignment: He tries to be good, though at this point, there's a whole lot of disillusionment going on. Also has a habit of doing kind of rotten things if someone convinces him that it's good. If nothing else, has good intentions.

Personality: In spite of having seen things that have broken his spirit and trod on his beliefs in mankind and the universe hundreds of times over, Molitor has made out pretty okay. He still tries to be nice to people first and foremost, prefering courteous behavior and trying to stay on his best performance. Errs on the side of serious, but never to the point of rudeness, and is more than happy to share in a joke, just not to excess. Values loyalty and duty, and tries to stand by his friends as much as he can, though, ironically, it often stands in the way of duty, in which case, a dire reckoning is sure to follow.

Biography: Once upon a time, there was an Undead in the Northern Asylum, close to the ancient land of the gods, Lordran. He had been there for a very long time, and his sanity and memory were on the verge of slipping. Thankfully, due to the unexpected charity of an armored visitor, the Undead managed to flee from the prison, and find his way to Lordran itself. Once there, however, the near-hollowed thing found itself constantly under attack from other creatures, be they human, monsters, demons, or other Undead. Seeking safety, it fled to a tunnel underneath a graveyard, where it found some solace in the darkness of the world. Feeling its way through the mounds of graves and dead bodies (and dodging the ambitious attacks of more than a few angry skeletons) it came upon a tomb, with a myriad of coffins and sarcophagus's lining the walls. Weary from his travels, the Undead laid down inside a coffin and dared to closed his eyes, half hoping that death would take him once and for all.

That's called irony, folks.

For when the Undead awoke, he found himself in the presence of the god of the dead, Gravelord Nito. Nito didn't seem fond of the Undead, the presence of whom disrupted the natural cycles of life and death, yet seemed to believe he could find some use of the intruder. Granting him a placed among the Gravelords, the Undead was given a sword and a task: find the thief which lurked still in the Catacombs, the one which stole something very dear to Nito. And so it was that the Undead scoured the caves of the dead, and at last came across the wretched form of the necromancer referred to as Pinwheel. Having been idle for so long, the Undead felt embarrassed at the amount of trouble the thing gave him. Yet, at the end, Pinwheel was felled, and in its fading form, the Undead was treated to a few great prizes: The mask of the Child, which possessed the strange power of making him feel more energized; and far more importantly, a sense of achievement, and of purpose. He was NOT just a fading form of a human being. He was something that held power, that could overcome the obstacles that this world put forward, and could conquer the insurmountable odds of life.

And so it was that the Undead left the Catacombs, filled with a new sense of purpose. The burst of the sun hurt his eyes at first, yet this too was a hurdle that he felt he could overcome. Yet the one thing he came to realize soon enough that he could not overcome simply with tenacity was the fact that he could not recall his own name. Pondering this for some time, he came to the conclusion that a new start required a new name. Looking about him in the graveyard, he chanced upon spying a gravestone with the name "Blore" scribed onto it. Deciding it was as good a name as any to make his own, the Undead took the name of Blore and set out on his adventure, aiming to prove himself as something worth keeping alive. Never again would he seek to lay down in a coffin.

From there, the story began to unfold: of how he walked up the steps from the graveyard and met a crestfallen man, taunting him with the tale of how a chosen Undead would ring the two bells; of how he sought those bells out, succeeding in tolling the ancient constructs, and defeating the equally ancient guardians which watched over them; of how he was told of the way to save the land, and end the curse of the Undead, and how he willingly walked the course laid out for him by the King Seeker; and of how he encountered tragedy after tragedy, disaster after disaster, and death after death. His own deaths, he could accept, for the fire inside of him could not be quenched so easily. Yet, the people he met, the friends he made, and the horrors that befell all of them weighed far more heavily. And by the time he reached the end of his quest, the thirst for adventure had been slated by a river of blood, the wide eyes tarnished by an ocean of tears, and the wish to find an end to the adventure switched from the yearning for purpose to trying to justify and remember the purposes of the others he'd met.

At long last, he stood at the Kiln, the mission to link the Flame almost at an end. Venturing deep below the earth, with his last, most trusted ally at his side, Blore challenged the Lord of Cinder, and dueled the fallen god to decide the fate of the world.

And failed.

Blore fell during the battle, and though, as usual, he found his body and mind reunited at one of the bonfires, there were more dire, irreversible consequences. For his friend succeeded where he had failed, and defeated the Lord of Cinder, linked the First Flame, and kept the Light of the world burning. And for a moment, Blore was crushed: the loss of his meaning, and of his friend, were not something that was taken lightly. It was after a long period of mourning and pondering that the once Chosen Undead decided upon his next move: He would find another Light. One that would match that of the First Flame, that would continue on its own power, and would defy the looming Darkness. With that in mind, Blore hefted his old Gravelord sword on his shoulder, and set out through the darkness, to find his own Sun.

Weapons:

Gravelord Sword, which inflicts poison damage. Also bears a circular metal shield with an effigy of the sun, which he crafted himself.

[Hiroki & ...]Hiroki tried to pull out his pistol, but realized it was too late. He didn't have enough to dodge, besides it was probably homing. And his chi was so low that the attack would likely kill him. The Chosen One gritted his teeth. Fine. If this was how he was to go, then he would do it staring down the woman who kept his people oppressed. The light beam came close, and Hiroki closed his eyes. It had been a good life, full of adventure, and he had done plenty of good while he was at it. ... ... ... ... Wait, what. He had felt no pain, no agony, no entrance into death. Hiroki opened his eyes. In front of him kneeled a woman, blood over her chest. No. No. This was not happening. Hiroki moved forward and caught the girl as she fell from her kneeling position. Looking up at him Takako smiled. "I never did listen so well did I?" She said softly. Tears fell slowly down his face. Hiroki was shaking his head. "You stupid, stupid, stubborn girl! How could you sacrifice yourself so readily!" Hiroki said, his voice starting to slip. "I learned from the best." Takako replied, still smiling, despite blood leaking from the corner of her mouth. Hiroki tried to give her some of his chi, enough to keep her life force from draining, but he didn't have enough."How could you betray me like this Takako? I told you to stay while I went.""I told you, I'm terrible at listening." Hiroki began to babble, but he was shushed by Takako's finger on his lips. "Shut up, you'll look bad in front of your nemesis. Now... now you listen to me. You keep going with Nikolai. Fight for me, free us. One day... I believe you will truly be the Chosen One." Hiroki closed his eyes hard. No! This was not happening! Takako had been the one by his side for almost his entire life, his first and best friend. "Good bye." Takako's final words. He could hear them, but he did not accept them. His eyes were still closed hard, as he felt the last bit of life go out of his friend. Hiroki laid her upon the ground, and finally opened his eyes. He felt better, stronger than ever before. Of course, the chi of his friend must be flowing into him now. Her final gift. Hiroki stood slowly, looking down at the fresh corpse of Takako. He raised his head and looked straight at the Queen.

Hey, everybody. riku here. This is an interest poll I'm posting in the three main rps I'm running (or co-running). They've all been dormant for some time, which is my fault. I'm currently at a point where I could just leave them behind or get the creative fires stoked again and press on. I still have ideas of how to proceed and have more twists to lob around.

The big question is would y'all like to continue? This game has been going on a while and progress is slow. If you are alright with that and are still interested in playing, I'll get things going again. If you feel it's better to let things lie, for whatever reason, I'll put my energy to other things.

In the end, what ever you choose, I just want to say I've had fun with all of you and it's been a pleasure to see your impact on the game. Thank you for taking part and making some random ideas I had come to life and change for the better.

And thanks for reading this.

(PS

Yes, this is a copy and paste job across the three games, but I'm not sure I could reword this three times and since most of you are in two, if not all three, anyway, I figured you could read once and vote as you saw fit in each. Once again, thanks for the good times.)

(I would like to continue with the Decolor RP.)

mehhhh

I'm just not feeling this one anymore, I'm real sorry. I think it's mostly because so many people have left, just destroying so many of the plotlines. Very demoralizing.

I had such high hopes for the OCs I threw into this one, but with the way things are [mainly Oath not being involved here as often], I think it would be safe to say: Maybe try shutting down all three of your RPs and create one, and focus on that. Well either that, or shut down 2 of them and stick with one. Just my two cents...

Fair. With the other two games, I feel I can move past a character dropping, but this one could lose too much of the complexity I loved about it. *sigh* still, it was fun while it lasted.

Yeah, there are a few characters and plots I'll miss from Decolor Censura, but it looks like it's gonna have to be dropped. I've considered just scrapping everything and going with something new, but with all the effort and patience people have put into the games, I didn't feel I could executively kill them without giving people a chance to put in their two cents worth. While I agree that focusing on one would be optimal, I know I can handle two, and feel I should to honor the commitment the players have put into the games.Vanguard and Ragnarok are getting support, so I'll probably press on with them. Ragnarok has a defined end that I'm moving towards, so that makes things easy. Vanguard has a direction, but is currently more open ended for how long it lasts and how it ends.

I would like to continue to RP, but it's progress has gotten very slow, and some Rpers (Sabre/Oath) haven't responded very often.

Honestly Riku, you should drop the RP since it's not making much progress, and create a new one. Maybe a redo or a new RP close or similar to this one. I'll remind you that if it wasn't for this RP, I wouldn't be an Rper thanks to your song choice lol.

I look forward to your new RP if you choose to create one (and if I seem to like it). If you do a :Redo, that'll be cool. My beginning was very terrible after all.

Heh, glad to see my musical tastes have some influencing effects.I am working on the idea of a successor for this game. Whether it's a redo or just something with a similar tone remains to be seen. It might be awhile before it comes out, due to planning and trying to finish up other rps I'm running, but it's on a burner.
