CURTAIN CALL not available for pre-order in Australia or Europe

Posted

For unknown reasons, THEATRHYTHM FINAL FANTASY CURTAIN CALL is not available for pre-order in Australia or Europe. Square Enix Europe announced it at the same time as North America.

I contacted EB Games Australia and unfortunately they have no idea either.

OK, weird...

Extremely weird. This isn't the old days where we waited SIX months for Kingdom Hearts II after the North American release. These are the days where Australia gets the games only hours after North America.

Good point, and highly strange for a company like Square Enix...

Were you one of the people waiting for KH2 or did you join the series after the fact? Just curious

I joined the series in 2006. So yes, I did have to wait.

Ouch. I really hope they don't do that with KH3 as well then, because I'd legitly feel horrible being able to play it while others either have to wait countless months, or import. x.x

They won't, AU and EU releases are only hours or a day or two after NA releases now. CURTAIN CALL here is just strange. Especially since it's a 3DS game, they usually come to AU and EU first. Lol.

SE hates European and Australian early birds.  Those bird haters!

That's weird. I already have my copy pre-ordered. It might only have a tentative release date of "2014" but that didn't stop my local Gamestop from allowing me to pre-order it. However the Theatrhythm UK page doesn't have a listing on where to buy it, so I dunno what is up with Square Enix.

It'd be very awkward if Square Enix plan to release Curtain Call as digital only for some reason because then I'd have to go an cancel my pre-order and then not buy the game digitally...

Edit: Scratch that the UK page specifically prices the game as £29.99 in store

Yes, but this isn't about North America.
