May 17, 201411 yr Or they might just be selling the XL's now since it has reached a somewhat affordable price...?
May 17, 201411 yr If you click on 'What is Nintendo 3DS', the original 3DS is listed there, along with the retail price. Seeing as it's there, I find it pretty possible that they're just changing up the landing page.

THIS And the fact that the XL and 2DS are already redesigns of the 3DS so what's the point of a third one? Besides the XL is billion times better than the original that has the annoying light reflecting screen Edited May 17, 201411 yr by Red Tribal

May 17, 201411 yr So, the XL has a different screen then? Or just has something to protect from glare? Well the XL has a much bigger screen for one,the glare is waaaay less apparent and sometimes non-existence and better yet it has better long living batteries
May 17, 201411 yr My batteries last a pretty long time, I think, when I have power saving mode on. Otherwise, they go down like the titanic!
May 17, 201411 yr Wouldn't surprise me if they're just pushing to sell XLs now. One of the things that has annoyed me about living in Japan is that the second a new model is out, it is near impossible to find accessories for the previous model. And I mean the second it comes out, like next day "Swoosh", gone. Everything stores sell is for XL model. You would think the previous model never existed. Same goes with iphone stuff. Drives me crazy.
