Not sure.. i really do hope to see more characters. As though some characters were left out as i seen so it made some fans upset .

Since Palutena(which btw was leaked a while ago before the announcement) made it to Smash 4 then I'm gonna believe the previous leaks and say that Chrom and Shulk will join the roster

 

Also in case Sakurai brought Snake back,I want it to be Big Boss(Naked Snake) instead of Solid Snake

I wouldn't mind Girahim from Skyward Sword becoming a playable character, as well as the other Gematsu characters that were leaked.

im not sure if this is cinsidered a newcomer but i would love for mewtwo, mr game and watch (he was mentioned in the pacman trailer but he still ist n the website as a charicter), and why not, captain falcon to make a return.

Leaked characters have a very high chance, as Miis, Palutena, and Pac-man were all leaked. Wii Fit Trainer, Villager, and Little Mac were all leaked before the Smash announcement last year as well. I believe it was all the same guy so....dude's 6 for 6 so far, no doubt Shulk, Chrom, and Chorus Men are in. I also expect Ness, Captain Falcon, and a extremely nerfed Meta-knight. I wouldn't count Jigglypuff out yet either.

You've obviously never played Rhythm Heaven.

That game needs some sort of representation. I do believe the Gematsu leak has been legit so far, so chances are we'll be seeing these guys.   It's not like it'll be bad for you as you won't have to play as them anyway. Not to mention, that reasoning like that is just like saying Game & Watch is too simple and no effort was put into designing him.

One, I can understand Game and Watch's reasoning, as he comes from a generation where those graphics of his were considered good. I just can't see why these Chorus Men, coming from a newer generation compared to G&W, are just so simple and weak on design.Two, I would have to play as them because I like to collect all the trophies I can. Three, I just find them to be a waste of a character. All characters announced were ones that I like, and they just have a reason or just feel like they belong in Smash.

Well let's just say, Greninja has a style that looks awesome, Pikachu is cute with style, Rosalina is graceful, Olimar and his Pikmin have that weird adventure style, while these Chorus Men look like 3D stickmen who are wearing bow ties. They just seem like anyone who knows basic drawing skills could make. Being too simple sometimes just look too bad and that they could have been better. Even a Mii has more style to it then these guys.

It's just bad since they look like a two year old could make them. Plus, I don't see them having any type of battle moves, what the heck can you do with a 3D stickman with a bow tie?

Rhythm Heaven kinds of moves... I mean, that's asking what types of moves Game & Watch could do and he does moves based off the Game & Watch games.

But a person who hasn't played the game wouldn't have an idea of moves. Like what types of moves could you think of to tell someone who hasn't played the game?

I really, REALLY want Shulk... But I feel like he won't be in. I know about the leaks and all, but I'm giving up on hope at this point. If he's in? Great, I'll be happy. Not getting my hopes up anymore, though... As cool as Palutena is, I was disappointed since I was getting my hopes up with that last trailer. And then, when I was hoping the Smash roundtable would be a gold mine of new characters... We just get Pac-Man. Yeah, not getting excited again.

 

I think that Ghirahim from Skyward Sword will be in. We don't have a new Zelda character yet, and we all know we'll see one. We might get a new Kirby character, but I don't really know who they'd use. Marx, maybe? I was all for Knuckles Joe, then he ended up just being an Assist Trophy. I think Chrom's likely, since Fire Emblem's really popular outside Japan now. A new Metroid character would be cool, but there's really no one else we could use ("ridley"). Can't think of anyone for F-Zero, either. Krystal from Star Fox could work. Heck, anyone from Star Fox aside from Slippy would be cool. I'm sure I could come up with more newcomer ideas, but I think that's enough for all.

 

Also, for this whole Chorus Boys debate, moveset ideas (I've played a bit of Rhythm Heaven Fever, and can come up with a few ideas):

He could use a Tennis Racket to hit an enemy or something like that (Like that one minigame that's a tennis match between two planes)

Smacking someone with a tamborine

Tossing various sports equipment at someone (Like that one minigame where you kick footballs/soccer balls/basketballs away from the gophers or whatever)

 

There are more potential ideas, but I haven't played the game in ages. I don't feel like he's too likely, though. Feels a bit too strange. It'd be cool, though. This is why I'm thinking it's possible those leaks might have some characters tossed in for fun.

I'm actually extremely surprised by the amount of newcomers this time around.

It almost feels like Melee, how there were just so many newcomers, mainly since it was a game that was coming off a 64 game, but still had a lot of newcomers at the time. There just seems to be like nine newcomers so far and that isn't including the ones we haven't heard about yet officially.
