Such a conundrum. I feel like the powers could mesh well if we thought hard about it, but on the surface they seem so disparate and opposite.

Well, intestinal enough, something I've thought about is why dosent Cornelius focus the light at a certain point? If he can harden light, then theoretically he could control light to a base-level and redirect it to another direction in hops of accomplishing something, this was the last base idea I had.

I agree, Cornelius and Drale should be able to work well together, power wise. If Frogmyre feels being inside a dome of light wouldn't adversely effect Drale's ability, then I'm good with trying it. And like NeverBetter pointed out, Cornelius can help create shadows that maybe Drale could use for sneak attacks. And it isn't like the dome is the only thing Cornelius can do for Drale, if need be. A construct of a traditional shield or a wall just on one of Drale's facing theoretically preform the same job as a dome, with out possibly cutting Drale off from anything.

I don't see light working like that. It's not like a flash light that can be pointed in another direction. Think more bright glow stick. No matter how you twist or turn it, it will always shine the same.

Alright, about the dome idea, since it seems you want my opinion on it, I like the idea, and it wouldn't affect Drale's ability. Let me quickly remind everyone here, unless I changed it, he can only use his shadow during the day. At night, he can use all shadows. (I'm sure you all remembered that, but I felt like saying it.)

So it is actually linked to the time of day rather than the simply the amount of ambient shadow (or lack of ambient light would be a better description). That changes things considerably. What we were worried about, though, is that the dome would make Drale's shadow disappear.

Yeah, it wouldn't affect his shadows. I'm still wondering if I should change it back. I originally added the daytime/nighttime thing to balance it out. If I do decide to change it, I'll just keep the strain placed on him increasing as he takes shadows from objects. (Example, if he takes the shadow from one object, he'll be strained somewhat. For ten objects, the strain would be multiplied by ten.)

This is gonna be interesting to see everyone get through. I'm trying to intersperse the combat-heavy content with some of the more interpersonal conflict that I think was at the heart of a lot of the intrigue of The Experiment and Echoes and Ash. So far you all seem to be handling it pretty well!

I was planning to make a decisive battle with my character that has been turned into a Dragon right now... xD

Am I the only one the remember that other closed door where the two teams are at?

Well, either way, unless someone pulls Sandrew out, he's a gonner. Did you really have to drain energy from players, MDS?

no i remembered it was there i just wasnt sure as to how to get everyone to approach it considering the last door they went near was a trap

Yes.I have a plan...that might work..if I know MDS...

Ah.

Congratulations MDS, that last choice nearly turned Amber into a nervous wreck.

Don't worry, I won't so easily let a character easily die unless it's the player's choice or the odds are unequivocally stacked against them. I do enjoy some dire situations though, and I think mixing up scenarios and premises is usually how you get to some of the more interesting character moments and developments.

Ah, this means that the first cause of opening the watch will be quite unlikely. The second reason, on the other hand, is getting closer. The third.. I highly doubt. (I'm purposely bring cryptic.)

Really,my ideas just get shot down?

Sorry, just trying to act in character. I didn't think Jasper would be too eager to open a mysterious locked door when his team was nearly whipped out by mechanic spiders less than an hour ago for trying the same thing. Otherwise, he'd probably support your character's idea.

I think I'll have Tristan stand there and say "i don't trust doors anymore doors are bad doors just get me hurt"

hey hey now dont be like that after all isnt your character the medic type character in a role play like this a character like Fairy is very much needed and very important to her side if Fairy wasn't around after continuous battles against the Kamyn the other characters would be forced to fall at least with fairy around that wont happen think of it like that
