I just re-played Terras story in BBS and at the end he said something like "Wasn't it enough with my master- no, my father" or some shit like that.

also, I checked the wiki and found out MArk Hamil is Eraqus' voice actor, thought it was a fun little fact.

Now now, little Suzumushi, let's get the metaphores right.

Im pretty sure terra talked about eraqus like a father figure not a father itself, but man wouldnt that be a plot twist.

Just a father figure though it would ha been more interesting if Eraqus was aqua's father and like terra didn't use darkness in the match and he just picked aqua because she was his daughter. *sigh* Awesome drama :>

It was the pay-off to the "I love you like my own son" line.

That really should have been more of a thing.

So yes he's a father figure. The real question is who's his real dad?

It would be cool to see How Terra and Aqua got to the land of departure

This. I have a head-canon for Terra, even. Like the kid in The Outsiders-he was a studious child who grew up in urban environment with low income and few opportunities. Without a real father figure, He gratefully accepts his apprenticeship and remains a loyal student. But that pesky darkness remains, like a learning disability, casting self-doubt in Terra's heart. Having Aqua there does little to help. He also comes to regard Eraqus as a father of sorts.
