I need advice:

Today o Fanfictio.com, someone posted my story was against the rules of what they allow to be posted on the site.

The rules allow M, but not exactly MA, which is overtly sexual or violent stories.

Without to many details, my story is of a romantic nature, and yes, some rears are bared, but hardly graphic in a "porn film" way, more like romantic love, but definayly sexual.

I've never used graphic adverbs, graphicly described a sex act more than just a basic "everyone knows this" description, and the worst word I've used is pubic hair.

Many stories on the site are sexual, and far more so than mine, so my question is should I ignore this user and just enjoy my writing, or pack up and take my fanfic elsewhere?

( If this is the wrong section for this, I am sorry. )

Plagiarism? On fanfic? Isn't there some legal action you can take against the user?

I don't know, I just don't want my story deleted: it has 22 chapters

Well, what do you think you did to provoke an act against your work?

MA: Content is only suitable for mature adults. Detailed descriptions of physical interaction of sexual or violent nature is considered Fiction MA.

That's what their guidelines say.  It doesn't look like there is a MA rating either.  I guess it's up to whether you want to ignore them and risk them pulling your story or suspending your account (I don't know how strict FF.net is so I don't know if they would go this far).  The thing is that you have to sign by those guidelines every time you post something.  By ignoring it you're breaking the agreement.  All those other people are doing the same and should be reported for it.  But since someone has contacted you about it there is someone watching what you're doing so your at a higher risk of getting in trouble atm.

I would say the safest thing to do would be to edit out the explicit stuff and just leave a suggestion that they did something in the room.  Then post the full version on another site and tell people if they want to read it to go to that site.  I believe you can have the link on your profile so just direct them there.  That way you aren't packing your bags up and leaving but you are still following the guidelines.

This is the first bout of trouble I've ever had on my stories, and my account's been up six months. This girl also appears to be another user of the site, not a moderator.

As to the story in question: I won't lie, it was yaoi, body parts were described, and sex did occur, but never in full on detail or graphicly.

And if you know of another fanfic site that will accept my stories as is, I'd love a link to it

It was yaoi.

Alright.

you're probably right.

I'd also advise you to have the story saved somewhere on your computer (if you don't already), just in case it were to get removed (though I agree, it doesn't sound like its extreme enough to have broken the rules, and there are definitely other stories with similar content on the site).

That's a good idea: It'll take awhile, but probably worth it.

And true: Not to point fingers, but I read one fic tagged under T that was hardcore porn, not even pretending to be a regular story, but that writer is still active on the site.

Doesn't sound that bad to me. Of course I haven't read your text so I wouldn't really know. But as long as you didn't describe it in great detail and there's no rape or something, I'd say it's alright.

This is kinda offtopic, but isn't it funny how sometimes age ratings seem to be more strict on sexual themes than violence? Not all the time, but sometimes.

No, just fluff: yes, simple terms, not going into them here, enough for you to know it WAS a sex act, but not rape, and certainly not pornfilm graphic.

and IKR? You can say all sorts of swear words in a story, but someone so much as gets a papercut and you're banned.
