Jake 1,488 Posted July 1, 2014 Mario Kart 8, I felt like the game was worked on by REAL professionals, The quality and gameplay is so purified and upgraded from Mario Kart wii and Mart Kart 7. I could of never asked for a better game made in 2014 than this. (Besides SSB4 probably) But aside that, I love this game and it has topped my list. Setrex 1,031 Posted July 2, 2014 I haven't played that many new games this year to be honest. Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze was outstanding and so was Mario Kart 8. So either of them. I don't get why you won't count Bravely Default or anything for certain people or are dismissing remakes though, if that is the best game they've played all year then who are you Sora96 to say otherwise? You asked what their Game of the Year was so you shouldn't have rules on it. Golden Sun is the best game I've played on the VC this year does that mean I can't count it because the game came out well over 10 years ago? Seems silly tbh.
