You all should recognize  these quotes from the KH3 Teaser we got a while ago with the 2.5 Remix trailer. If you dont, then go and get a refresher of it on youtube or something.

 

Who are these "Lost Masters"?

 

Where is this "Land"? 

 

I hate to show my inner Fire Emblem Awakening FanGirlness but when I saw those words i couldn't help but speculate about something in particular. 

 

With the whole Time Travel business, could these "Lost Masters" possibly travel back in time in KH3 to meet with Sora and Co.? Perhaps they're from a future in which Sora and Co. lose the Keyblade War. And the reason they've traveled back is to warn them of the things to come. 

 

Hey, remember that Sora and Riku time traveled to their past selves to just before the Destiny Islands were swallowed by darkness so moving back in time is possible. So what do you think?

I think the land is the Keyblade Graveyard, where the 13 Darknesses will defeat the Guardians of Light

Well, of course there's going to be foreshadowing. It's a Teaser Trailer! (And that's the biggest Tease I've had from Nomura in while) ...But you knew that, didn't you?

Mmm... I find it a bit complicated to put that in just one game. I think the Lost Masters are from the past, not the future. I hope we don't have to see more of that time travel, at least if it's not necesary

Well.. I personally think that the lights are going to lose the Keyblade War, why? There is two quotes to back it up that are eerily similar to each other:

The World will be enveloped in eternal Darkness" ~ A Foreteller in Kingdom Hearts Chi

It's definitely for shadowing, but I think the land they're mentioning is the Keyblade Graveyard. However, I have no idea what the lost masters might be.

If they do that Ansem is probably gonna something like that against Sora and the others... Or Xehanort or some BBF from Xehanort

The context in which Young Xehanort used the phrase suggests that the "Lost Masters" were tied to the original Keyblade War so it's unlikely they are from the future. The "Lost Masters" are probably the Foretellers from KHX seeing as they were involved in the original Keyblade War. As for the land spoken in the prophecy it is probably the Keyblade Graveyard.
