in FFX you fight a dragon boss on top of the airship

Then right after that you're thrown into a gauntlet of enemies with no save point in sight....if you get a game over before you at least reach a save point there you have to redo the boss all over again

I'm loving the game so far but this part is f***ing stupid....why couldn't they put a save point right after the boss? It's not hard to put a save point in the back after Tidus and the others land in Seymour's wedding ceremony.

The boss is not hard but has a lot of HP and it's boring to fight over and over again

OMG, I am not the only one who thought that! That made me so angry. I had to do the boss twice.

i managed to pass through on my first go cause i stocked up on potions and stuff

The exact same situation happened to me here, and trust me without Yuna's Aeons the game can get really hard at times

I died twice against those soldier assholes which made me redo the entire boss fight twice

Is it really hard to program a save point at the same spot you land on in the ceremony? No it's not

Problem is even if you have hi potion there is that one machina enemy that can eject your party members out of battle and if he KO'd the last one remained....instant Game Over

i managed to take him out before he could pull that on me i was lucky enough first time playing through i just by chance prepared enough stuff and targeted the right enemy first

You could make the same case for FF3, but like their reason for that it was simply because they felt it made it too easy. The Field Director of FFX is now working on FFXV.

I was one of the lucky ones to plow through the wedding enemies while gritting my teeth and crying like a little baby when an ally got ejected yet still managed to make it through on my first go.

No way in hell I was fighting that boss again.

I'm pretty paranoid about dying when it comes to JRPGs so I was stocked up on tons of items. Also I may have been a tad over leveled.

Well I got through the wedding enemies finally yesterday thanks to Rikku and her sleep bombs

But it's still a stupid design choice that could've been easily avoided

Me too,and holy shit I memorized that cutscene because of that because even in the HD version the game doesn't allow you to skip cutscenes
