I remember in the old days in the anime they had items that you could buy from the shop and we see Gary Oak with some potions. This right here proves that Ash is a terrible Pokemon Trainer not carrying any supplies and relying on Pokemon centers all the time. A good pokemon trainer carries supplies to keep there pokemon happy and healthy.

What does that have to do with what I said? xD Yeah well that's true but I meant to say that trainers paying you for winning is a bit strange. It's like you're stealing their money or something xD I've never thought about it but now I found it curious.

Yeah but to me it isn't right relying on someone else, I guess it's the world we live, where only the strong survive and the weak become the prey.
