We've pretty much reached a decision. All forums will keep adding to post count, except for Random. So, this means that Roleplaying, Introductions, Personal, etc will still contribute to posts.

 

However, with this, we expect that the standard for posts in those sections is higher. That means, that you can't spam, make posts that don't contribute, etc etc.

 

Specifically, for the Roleplaying section, we've made some guidelines which must be followed. These basically mean that more effort must be put into the Roleplays. Any roleplays that support one-liners and what not will still be allowed, but they will be put in Forum Games.

 

So, to summarise:

 

Posts count everywhere but random.

"Roleplaying" - good roleplays, paragraphs, etc.

"Forum Games" - anything you like, including "one-liners", etc.

 

Hopefully this will keep everyone happy. There is now a place for proper roleplays, a place for those which are not so proper, and also your post counts haven't gone down that much.

Good thinking DChiuch, this should make everyone happy. Sure it might take a bit of getting used too, but in the long run in it will make the forum run much better.

But yeah, i think this is a really good solution to the problem. Hope everyones happy with it. Remember you can still have fun with smaller roleplays, just remember to post these in forum games:)

This morning when I found that random didnt count any longer... I had 11,000 posts still..

now I have 9,500.

Reason being, that we are allowed to move Roleplays that mostly consist of one-liners to Forum Games, thus member's post count may decrease, we are just helping out the RP section and making it look better in quality.

We're cleaning out the role-playing section.

The one's that have been spammed to death are being moved to forum games, like it says in the first post. They are allowed still, they'll just be in forum games to make the quality of role-playing seem slightly better than it was. We're sorry, but it comes along with the new change. D8

This is the first time that I realized how many posts I had in random. I didn't think it was so much though, but since when did I care about post count? I liked the change anyway.

We've been sorting through the role-plays all day.. Sorry if the difference between your post count is overwhelmingly different, it's just... THAT is how much one-liners were spamming up in the role-playing. >;
