because when he see kairi he have only her in his mind (pure or perv i don't know... ask him or nomura )

or maybe he was so sorprise and confused that even if he tell her would seems like "i thank you....  'cause i read to do it" or maybe he wanted to thank her when he remembered clearly about castle oblivion events.

maybe he forgot again.

In that scene the most important was roxas x sora combo.

Well in 3D he said he meant to tell a message when it was all over.

Then mayby she was dissapointed he forgot to say thank you and so Xion appeared.

Because he didn't know recognize Namine when he saw her again. He didn't have enough time between hearing her name and her merging with Kairi.

Sora didn't think it was the right time for him to thank her, so he didn't. Kairi already said ''Thank you, Namine'' so perhaps he felt it would be redundant for him to say exactly the same thing. That's something people do in real life. If someone just said what you were about to say you suddenly feel no reason to say it.

 

Besides, ''I couldn't bring myself to say it.  Not until everything was back to the way it was before.'' He wants this whole thing over and done with before he thanks her. We don't know why, though. Unless nomura is planning a naminekairisora love triangle lmao
