While I couldn't agree with you more, I do wonder how they could find a gameplay style that matches both games, and the only way I can see it is being something like generations only with mario and sonic, and I don't think that would be right for a crossover game like this

I've been waiting for this pretty much ever since SEGA became 3rd Party.I'd really like to know how the Olymics games came into SEGA or Nintendo's mind to begin with, how can you make a Mario and Sonic crossover and NOT making it a platformer, they are like the biggest platformer video game franchise EVER and they make FOUR mini-game compilations instead? Its also weird that Sonic Lost World got a Yoshi's Island and a Zelda DLC level, but not a Mario level.

The Sonic Generations setting would be perfert for a Mario and Sonic Crossover, you'd play through various levels from Mario and Sonic's history with Classic Mario and Sonic(2D gameplay) and Modern Mario and Sonic with the ''boost to win gameplay''(3D mixed with some 2D gameplay) and yeah Eggman would team up with Bowser.Like Generations, the bosses would be fan favorites like Metal Sonic,Bowser Jr and the Koopalings,Wario,Shadow, etc. Nintendo would remix Sonic music to fit their Mario levels and SEGA would remix the Mario music to fit the fast-paced Sonic level and it'd be the best thing ever.

But I guess they'd rather work on the 2016 Olympic games rather then making the game that everybody wants.

I'll be completely honest in saying that would be one of the few Mario games I would avoid at all costs. I guess it would be cool for the fans, though.

That would be awesome. I would like to see it! xD
