The image features not only Frieza, but Beerus, the villain from last year's Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods. The magazine also confirms that the film will premiere in Japanese theaters on April 18 in both 2D and 3D.

In an interview with original creator Akira Toriyama in the magazine, he says that the 'F' in the title in fact stands for "Frieza," who will be revived in the film. Toriyama noted that he thought of the title while listening to the song "F" by Band Maximum The Hormone, who he came to know personally through a friend. In fact, one of the members told him that they had been singing the song about Frieza.

The magazine describes the story:

 

An Earth where peace has arrived. However, remnants of Frieza's army Sorbet and Tagoma (from the Japanese word for 'egg') arrive on the planet. Their goal is to revive Frieza with the dragon balls. Their dastardly wish is granted, the "F" that plans its revenge against the Saiyans is revived...!

Last time I checked, it is, just like Battle of Gods. Toriyama's leading both projects, if I'm not mistaken.

 

He also did GT. Doesn't make that canon. If its not based directly upon a Manga by Toriyama, that makes it non canon.

This race aren't "Frost Demons". That's a fan name. Frieza's race has no official name. The closest thing to it would be the Arcosians, but even that's a bit of a stretch if you do your research.

Considering it takes them a hell of a lot longer to grow old than normal humans (Goku and Vegeta are close to their 50s around this time if I'm not mistaken), then no. Besides, Saiyans don't need rest, they're freaking Saiyans. lol
