There will be a co-op campaign in KHIII

However, you will not be able to play it with your friends

That's strictly against the rules

How is  that against the rule?

Interesting....

KH is third person, so we would have to play as a different character. However, that character being there wouldn't be canon.

E.g I play as Kairi and you play as Sora, We can both fight through the heartless together and such, but since Kairi canonically isn't there in everything, she does not show up in the cutscenes we see -that she isn't meant to be in, that is.

That's the only way I can see it working.

Fable would be a good example of how this would work, as it's third person and does the same thing, only one person -the hero of player one- shows up in the cutscenes

Ok.....>_>

It kinda does matter, because that is how these things work in the first place.

You're not making any sense, dude. Co-op campaign means you play the story together. The story doesn't change, which means the cutscenes do not change, only characters meant to show up in a certain scene will show up in that scene. So no, ''he'' or rather, the character he is playing as, won't unless the character he picks is meant to be there for that part of the story. That's how co-op story works

Example:

Both play as the main character, cheif. There is two of them in co-op. Only one appears in the story cutscenes, because canonically there IS only one.

It's already co-op.You have Donald and Goofy

Not co-op. Those are AI/Computer controlled companions in single player. Not to mention them being there is canon to the story.

Co-op is playing with another Human in split screen or online link.

Nope.

I personally prefer for Kingdom Hearts III to be a single player affair.  That's the way it should be, and that's the way it will be! :P

I know that xD I was just kiddin'

Kingdom Hearts hasn't been co-op...ever. No need to start now, really. Unless Nomura sells out.......................

I prefer it to be single player. But there is nothing wrong with a separate cooperative mode. You could just ignore it and play single player.

Don't be so close-minded. Co-op isn't a bad thing. And that wouldn't be ''selling out'', saying that is pretty rude, he would just be adding an extra, and optional, mode to the game, like mirage area.

I'm not close minded. It just wouldn't make sense to add co-op to the next numbered title out of no where. It wouldn't fit. It's not "rude".

Oh no, no! I meant that, saying that Nomura adding co-op would be him ''selling out'', is a mean thing to say - To say that someone is ''selling out'' over a game mode isn't a nice thing to say about them. They could be adding it for many reasons.

I agree with you, though. I don't think it should be in KH3. But it could fit in a different title somewhere down the line. I thought you meant it shouldn't be in KH at all. Which is fine, if that's your opinion. :)

In mine, I think it could be good fun to have an optional multiplayer mode at some point. Done right, of course
