Sorual 607 Posted November 28, 2014 (edited) Peach And Toad: Mario It’s perhaps the most famous line in Nintendo history: “Thank you, Mario, but our princess is in another castle.” Toad is so humble, isn’t he? Time and time again, Toad urges Mario to stop saving lowly attendants and start saving Princess Peach. And yet, there’s that “Thank you” nestled in there—a simple and heartfelt nod of gratitude towards his hero. Peach need not worry, of course. Despite Mario’s sidetracking, the mustachioed Italian will always, inevitably, come to her rescue. As thanks, she rewards Mario with a lovely kiss. Link: Companions (Usually) It’s dangerous to go alone! Whenever Link explores the depths of Hyrule to foil Ganon’s evil plots, he teams up with an unexpected ally: a talking hat, a clever fairy, a shadowy imp or perhaps a magic boat. From Midna to Linebeck, there is always someone by his side, giving him enough courage to be the hero. But hey, listen! There’s a 95 percent chance that Link may have been better off without one or two of his companions, right? Pokémon Professors: Adventurous, Naïve Trainers Where would science in the Pokémon world be without young trainers willing to do all the legwork? Whether it is Professor Oak or Elm, Pokémon professors always give the task of discovering the various species of Pokémon to an overzealous preteen. Like the trees they are named for, the professors just don’t seem to budge. That said, it’s a win-win for everyone. The science gets done and we make a neat—er, I mean—and the kids grow and develop into courageous Pokémon Masters. But with over 700 of the monsters known so far, can one kid really accomplish the job alone? I’m sure the professors will still ask, at least. Little Mac: The Rocket Belt And Super Leaf Little Mac is no frog. While he hits harder than any of the other 48 fighters in Super Smash Bros., the Bronx boxer has the worst win record of the roster. His incompetence is due to one nagging trait: his inability to leap more than a hair’s width off the ground. But there is hope! Little Mac can breath a sigh of relief when he dons a Rocket Belt or picks up a Super Leaf. With these tools, the kid can float effortlessly back to the stage whenever his is knocked off. He’s comin’ for you, Greninja! Franklin: Sea Bass Sauté During the Harvest Festival in Animal Crossing towns across the world, Franklin the turkey nervously stops by for a visit. Why’s he so nervous? It might have something to do with the lack of a prepared Thanksgiving meal, something he wants to urgently correct before he ends up on the menu. So if Franklin doesn’t want to serve himself, what will the main entrée be? Fish! In New Leaf, the friendly fowl asks the villagers for some lemon as the perfect ingredient for his sea bass sauté. With turkey off the table, Franklin can finally relax and be himself … until next year. Captain Falcon: Super Smash Bros. Poor Captain Falcon. He’s just not getting any love. The last installment of the F-Zeroseries was in 2004—a decade ago—with F-Zero Climax for the GBA. The futuristic bounty-hunter-turned-speed-racer hasn’t hopped back in the Blue Falcon since. Even when F-Zeromakes its way to Mario Kart, does the captain—a veteran racer—hop behind the wheel? Nope. Alas, Captain Falcon has found a new home with Super Smash Bros. His Falcon Punches have remained a fan favorite since their debut on the N64 version. Even if Nintendo has forgotten him, the players have not, and Captain Falcon is thankful for that. Donkey Kong: Bananas (Duh) Need I say more? I actually didn't think of this. I found it here: http://nintendonews.com/2014/11/nintendo-thanksgiving/ and I thought it was awesome enough to show here.
