KH2.5 Finally Did Something I've Always Wanted

Posted

the Re:Coded movie has scenes of Sora and Riku just interacting. Veing characters.

That's SO NICE to see in a series like KH, where characters aren't generally that important. It's nice to have some moments of them building a relationship, and really seeing why they're friends

I mean, it's not the real Sora and Riku, so that bit of fleshing out the characters doesn't really count, but I guess we can assume they're more or less canon assuming the data is 100% accurate to the real characters?

But yeah, just seeing Riku mock Sora about his height so such a nice change of pace from Riku monologuing to Sora about the nature of light and darkness within all worlds

DDD had elements of this, but because Sora and Riku never directly interact it's a major missed opportunity, I'm glad they fit it in SOMEWHERE, even if it's a place where it's not canon

Yep ain't it awesome? Even if it is data versions they are pretty much copies of the real thing. (And if I remember they have pretty much all if not most of the real ones memories) but yeah it's such a great thing and it really does show the friendship between the two. I really like how recoded and DDD kinda shows why they are friends and more and what not.

Yeah, the game had a lot of that too. Characters have- holy shit- character. It's something games like 358/2 and BBS are sorely missing despite being way more important to the overall story, and it's part of why I like Re:Coded more than either of those games.
