The frame rate in bbs 2.5?

I turned kh bbs on for the first time today, and while i was amazed by the graphics and increased sound quality something seemed off, for the first minute or so when a cutscene starts or when i enter a new area the game seems to become choppy and skip frames, not to an unplayable level but it does effect the games fluidity. Was just wondering if it was normal, or if i need to get my ps3 checked out possibly.

It has crossed my mind that its the same thing as d-link, because 2fm seems fine : P

I did notice the fps drop a couple of times early, and long loading times for drive forms and D-Links are common.

I'm pretty sure Square Enix did a half-ass port, the frame rate drops whenever you open chests, switch party members, use drive forms and d-links, and at many times for no apparent reason.

The reason behind this is: they don't care. They had over a year to fix this.

There is some lag, yeah, but it's nothing compared to the PSP version. Slideshow framerates in the Mirage Arena made that world way harder than it needed to be

well one, that's not a year dedicated just to fixing this, two, it's because blu rays can't be read as fast as DVDs, which isn't really a thing Square Enix can do anything about

Obviously not, my point is they had that much time to fix issues... and I have only played two shitty ass HD collections with this issue so I doubt there isn't anything they can do about it.

if they had more than a yea to work on it, they probably could have worke dout a work around, but re-engineering old games takes more effort than you might think

I don't care much either, TBH.

So you enjoy playing shitty ports that drop frame rates every few seconds? The only benefit of it is transforming is now an invincibility frame and I can use it to dodge hard attacks and regen full health.

Plenty of us don't actually notice (or weren't affected) and still find the game playable and enjoyable.

I only saw a few frame rate drops here and there, and never enough to affect the way the game is played. The biggest offender for me was Starry Hill, which was incredibly choppy for some reason (odd, since it's one of the simplest areas of the game =P). Aside from that, just some long loads for drive forms and things.

Yeah it was lagging like firetrucking shit, they obviously did a bad job porting lol. Something like that would have been fixed. And mine always drops framerates when I open chests and 20% of the time I enter a room.

Not I, but I hear those things are sometimes better on an old phat PS3, so maybe it's a good thing I didn't replace it~

The only glitch I have experienced so far is that sometimes when I open a chest the screen freezes for a split second before revealing the prize.

I'm used to worse ports than this, so it doesn't bother me.

hmm i only have slow dlink problems i didnt really notice any other problem

I first though it lay just on my screen settings but I guess not I got 32inch.

But yeh the psp version is way faster.
