What Video Game Has Ever Scared You?

Posted

So have there been any games you've played that made you feel scared or jump out of your seat? Like, have you played any survival-horror games that just made your heart race out of fear? For me, the first game that ever scared the crap out of me was Resident Evil 2. Man back in the day, I was always scared to go into the rooms because of the zombies plus all the other monsters as well as those jump scare scenes.

Outlast scared me at first.....then it started to turn me on. Pyramid Head from Silent Hill is the same way. Started off scary....but now, he's kind of sexy...... Why....why is everything so sensual??? D:

Well, one could argue that it almost makes sense, given that a lot of the monsters in Silent Hill 2 are mockeries made to represent the sexual frustrations of the main character.

Subtle horrors with good atmosphere are the best ones. Games that rely too heavily on jump scares are cheap.

The Silent Hill games up until 4 elicit some pretty good scares. The original Slender game, before it got overblown was simple, but effective. More recently ZombiU on the Wii U was pretty creepy, especially that Nursery area.

Five Nights at Freddie's. It's just jump scares, really, but I always scream like a little girl when it happens, lol.

Scared, as in screaming scared? Or making you jump type of scared? If it's a screaming type of scared, honestly, I've never screamed from a game. Jumping from a jumpscare? Let's see..

Silent Hill 1, 2, 3, and 4: The Room. 1: The dogs. 2: Pyramid Head, who still owes me a hug. 3: Allessa/ Dark Heather. 4: The Babies on Hands. I think the babies were the most scariest thing I've seen.

Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. That a**hole always pops up out of no where, and makes me go into my panic mode.

Fatal Frame Series: ....... No. Just... Stop.

Ju-On: The Grudge. Ehhhh... I found out about the game from the first youtuber I watched when I was 8-9 years old. She gave me nightmares.

Outlast: *Internally Screaming*

The Thing The Game: This. This is what made me a horror fan. It's so scary, it gave me nightmares 24/7, shjkaugbghadkhbg
