January 13, 201511 yr It isn't my favorite of the series, and it definitely suffers from a lack of save points (although it was never a large issue for me). It is a great gameplay experience, and the story entertains you enough. My only real gripe is the characters and voice acting: the characters are not all that interesting compared to others in the series and the English voice acting is atrocious. It is pretty cheap now so you will definitely get the bang for your buck.

It is amazing. You should really get it man. There is no lack of save points. The story is an emotional punch to the gut and gameplay is awesome!
January 13, 201511 yr I found it a hard game but it is a nice story to play. Don't plan to platinum this it is one of the hardest platinums.
January 16, 201511 yr 96, although I don't like you, I will at least Try and save you from wasting your money. IMO, it's a dreadful game. The gameplay in the begining starts with our main character "Edge Mavric" in a training simulator. He has about as much original personally as a slice of bread that was left in a toaster with no power. Then we learn that countering is basically the god to end gods, go to an alien planet, find ourselves crashed, have to navigate the poor level designed world out of the ship and to check on the wreckage, get attacked by monsters, and then leave to contenue what little plot there is to the game. The textures look like a mildly-upscale PSP's, the voice acting is dreadful, never mind the scene design, the minimap sucks, the first enemies can poison you, the only way to get farther in the game is to either run all the time or endlessly fight and grind enemies that can poison you (and it's dificult to not die of poison, since it's dificult to cure and there is only one spot you can fully heal at), you can get lost very easily due to the poor minimap and level design, enemies can back attack you if you get stuck on a rock, and overall I found myself more frustrated by the endlessly respawning enemies that would even spawn right in front of you as you walked than I felt it worth to spend the time in the game. I don't even make it maybe more than about 20 minutes into the actual game before I gave up and went back to playing other games. /end rant.
