French people trying to make a kids show with a subculture that is inherently not. for. kids.

Cat ears and collars are cute, and a part of lolita fashion, but they are also a fetish and in hentai. Just saying....

Also the obi over the seifuku...just..why...

The characters themselves give it away as to why in this art even . I don't -

your making my clothes look lame now ugh

little kids ruin everything

I don't think there's anything wrong with lolita fashion because people have fetishes with it, if that was the case then we'd have to also get rid of shots of feet, teddies, nappies in media as well since people have fetishes about them (and much weirder things).  The most inappropriate thing to me is the girl on the right, since her top looks like her chest could fall out, and the her position they've drawn her in is provocative (like most female poses in super hero movies).   It's not that hard to add a strap to make it more modest so they have no excuse.

Cat ears and collars aren't inherently sexual, so I doubt children are making that distinction.

I think you're looking too much into things, kitty.

Wow...that really..uh... looks a bit unsuitable for little kids: they look highly sexualized for a kids show..

Yeah Caity's right.  If we found something wrong with everything people have fetishes over, a vast majority of things would be immoral.  And to be honest, I don't see anything wrong with this.  We're clearly not getting the whole story from this one picture.  I mean, do we even know what this show is even about?  As long as they keep the hentai stuff out, most kids aren't going to know the difference.

I'd point out the super short skirts or short in that picture more than that top. And yes, she was drawn to be provocative on purpose because most kids nowadays know/are interesting in this kind of stuff, which is wrong and I feel that is the root of the problem, not the image itself.

Their skirts and shorts aren't actually that short (especially the shorts) they just have long legs which gives it the appearance of being shorter than it is, but they're still appropriate, the skirt and shorts cover their bums, but that top is just barely cover the front of her breasts.  If we're saying their skirts are shorts are too inappropriate then we can say the same about Aqua's outfit, which has pretty short shorts and long socks as well.

If you look at how long their legs are, their skirts are as short as their top, I'd say. And some people would actually argue that Aqua's outfit is actually over the top too. Not me, I find her pretty and in the right spot.
