Well, I am going to be a junior this year in high school and I going to be taking drivers ed where you actually drive a car. Well, I am kinda scared and nervous to drive because I have never drivin a car before and it will be my first time. I feel like as soon ax I get behind the wheel I will crash into another car brcause of my nervousness.

Okay, I'm twelve, so I am not yet faced with this problem. I think you should go find some Daytona 500 racing games at your nearest arcade or movie theater. :D

LUCKY! I'm 15 (To be 16 next month) and mother wont allow me to drive till i'm 18 so the insurance wont be as costly T_T then again, I should be a Junior this year, but due to embarrassing things, I am yet a Sophmore this year instead -.-'. (Stupid Kindergarten....)

I'm worried about how I am going to end up driving too. I mean I'm only fifteen, and I am going to be a sophmore but at my school I had to take drivers ed last year. We didn't have to actually drive a car though. I passed the test and everything, but I didn't really learn anything. I get my permit next year, and I guess my dad is going to have to teach me how to drive. My mom is a paranoid driver, as in she stopped driving for like 10 years and she still doesn't like driving on highways. So my dad would be the one to teach me, but he isn't exactly very good at explaining things. I still have another year to start worrying about it too much though.

will im a good driver and im only 13 i drive on the road and im going ot go get my premit soon ill be a 9th grader who can driv iv even drov on teh road and passed a cop and he didnt pull us over becous i was in the right side of teh road even if i was going over the speed limit a little bit what the speed was 50 and i was going 60 becous i had somewhere to be

We start driving school freshman/sophomore year here.

I drive now and it's pretty great... except for the whole... not owning a car thing. D8

But hopefully I'm getting one for my birthday next month (xD since it's on the 21st of sept.).

I always thought driving school was fun. I had entertaining teachers. But the first time I got behind the wheel there, I just HAD to have a teacher that was too fat to even fit in the seat. He was a real pain too. We eventually got to an intersection that was busy, and he was yelling at me to go. I noticed cars were still coming so I hesitated, but he started yelling even louder so I started to go, when a truck that was behind a bush at the time was speeding towards me. I pushed on the gas and luckily, I only did damage to someone's lawn. If I got hit, the truck would have hit my side of the car, and not the fat jerk's side (which.. still would have been bad, but he has extra cushioning while I.... don't. /shotshot). But meh, in the end none of us were hurt, but I cried after that happened. I learned to trust your instincts and not always the instructors because sometimes even they're wrong.

I'm actually a very good driver now, aside from that incident.

Besides a few mishaps, driving's fun if you pay attention to what you're doing. :3 You should do fine. Just remember to try to stay calm when you're in the car and don't look in front of you, look around and ahead of you so you can prepare if anything's coming. Be patient too if you're driving, if you need to go slow then do it! Cars can always go around you. :3 <3

@darklunatic : o-o You shouldn't be speeding 10 miles over the speed limit just because you have somewhere to be. You're VERY lucky you didn't get a ticket because it's a hefty fine if you didn't even have a permit.

like kaiso said, where i live, we can learn how to drive and get our driver's permit by 16 (: my parents and brother are kinda teaching me how to drive and stuff but most of the times, they're too busy to do so.

i'd go to driver's ed but i'm too lazy LOL.

I finished my driver's ed class a few weeks ago, and got my permit. The class itself was easy, but the thought of driving had me shaking in my sneakers. It didn't help that my teacher constantly showed us videos of different scenarios where teens got into car crashes where they either died or were permanently paralyzed.

By the time it was my first hour to drive, I was panicking. When I got behind the wheel and driving on the country road I was trying to remember everything I was taught. Unfortunately, I didn't notice I was drifting too close to the opposite side of the road, and I almost crashed heads on with a car coming the opposite way (or should I say right way since I was in the wrong lane?). Thankfully my driving instructor took hold of the wheel and pulled us back into the right lane just in time. I got a long lecture afterward, and was scared to get into a car after that first hour of driving.

I'm sure for everyone the first time driving is intimidating. But I guess it's supposed to be. How else would it get into your mind that you're not immortal and the road is an easy place to crash and be killed? Just remember something: breathe. Take a few deep breaths when you start to feel nervous or panicky, and calm yourself down. Everyone makes mistakes when driving, you just have to stay alert.

Don't get distracted with someone's bumper sticker, license plate, or animal off the side of the road. It only takes 2-3 seconds of being distracted to cause an accident, so stay focused and you'll do fine. Besides, if it does look like you're going to crash into a car, your instructor should be smart enough to get you out of the way, since they are responsible for your life.

I guess all I have left to say is that driving will get easier after a while, and the nervousness will die down. So good luck to you in driver's ed!

My older half-sister, is pretty much the only one in my family that I know of that hasn't gotten her licesnse yet. She has tried...many...many....times -.-' about, 15-20 times. I hope it wont be that difficult for me

Oooh, better idea than the Daytona 500 thing! (It's still a pretty good idea...) Bribe the instructor into letting you pass no matter what! :D I am so cool 8) jk...sorta

Dude I am starting to do that next onth and yeah I see hwta ursaying but don't worry you will do fine, just remember the people are NOT bonus points! lol
