With all of the recent news about amiibo, and the fact that they're branching out to games outside of Smash, I figured this thread could be helpful for us amiibo fans.

 

For those who are unaware, amiibo are the new NFC figures Nintendo has been making. The only amiibo series currently released is the Super Smash Bros series, which recently had its third wave released. However, the Super Mario Bros series has also been announced, and wave four of the Smash Bros series will be coming soon.

 

So, to kick off the thread, we've got an official report from Nintendo regarding the port strike in the US, and its affects on North America's amiibo stock. It's also been said that an agreement seems to have been made with the strike, meaning the amiibo stock might increase soon!

I currently own 8 amiibo: Link, Pikachu, Yoshi, Peach, Luigi, Pit, Toon Link, and Shulk. I plan on ordering all of Wave 4 of the Smash 4 amiibo as soon as they're put out there. If anything I have to secure Ness and Lucina at least.

Already stated the excuse Nintendo is using for low stocks.I technically own only 2 since the other amiibos were gifts for my brother and sister, while 1-2 brought themselves. (We like to considering our collection "together.")The 2 I own are Peach and Rosalina. Bitches before bros. /shot I might trade my extra Rosa for Lucario if I secure Lucina.

We'll see how it does end up affecting the stock of amiibo. It probably has some sort of an impact, considering I've heard reports of many other items imported from Asia having issues due to the port strike. We'll figure out how much of an impact that is soon, hopefully.

Also, I'll add my votes when I think of them. As much as I'd love amiibo sets for Xenoblade, for example, I'm not sure how they'd work.

I was actually thinking about making a poll for game series that could get amiibos. Might as well do that since that's getting suggested, too.

 

I'd also love to see Pokemon amiibo, but there are so many that it feels kinda unlikely.

So, I don't know if anyone else heard, but the guy at Gamestop told me that there were recent shipments of Mega Man and Sheik amiibo. I've noticed both of these at other stores, too (I actually just got a Mega Man, and my brother got Sheik a while back), so it seems like a few amiibo are getting restocked. I've noticed more Toon Links, too.

Megaman, Sonic, and Toon Link were commons for weeks now. It's just weird to find them as a few would have none while a few others would have a shit ton of them. Sheik has been uncommon-rare, but not surprised it's starting to appear more than before.

 

If only there was restocks for Ike and DDD.

 

I got the four horsemen at Nintendo World last Friday. Sadly Gold Mario ran out, but I have one shipping to me. The extra Rosalina will be either sold or trade bait if I miss out on Lucina or any future amiibos I want. (Palutena, ZSS, and if I get a new main in the future.)

Perhaps. I've seen a lot of Toon Link though. I figured there'd be plenty Toon Link since he's basically another Link option (the better of the two in my opinion).
