Nintendo has revealed the release date for the Sora Amiibo to be February 16th, 2024, alongside a short video clip which you can view below. The Sora Amiibo was originally announced during a Nintendo Direct back in September. The Amiibo is currently listed for preorder on the Nintendo Store Japan website for ¥2,200 ($14.92 USD) and Amazon Japan though it is worth noting it is currently listed as unavailable on the Amazon page. The figure depicts Sora in his Kingdom Hearts 1 attire from the same render used in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. So today the lovely people over at Yacht Club Games announced the release of an Amiibo of there main character of their big hit game Shovel Knight. No it is not going to be used for Smash it is going to be used for the WiiU and 3DS version of the game, for the WiiU version it unlocks co-op and some customize able stuff, while you only get teh customize able stuff for the 3DS version. Why is no one talking about this really great game by Nintendo!? There's a demo by the way, launched today right after the direct and can be played during the weekend. It's a nice little taste of what's to come in the next couple weeks. Also, preordering from gamestop nets you two codes for Mii Gunner costumes in Smash.

With all of the recent news about amiibo, and the fact that they're branching out to games outside of Smash, I figured this thread could be helpful for us amiibo fans. For those who are unaware, amiibo are the new NFC figures Nintendo has been making. The only amiibo series currently released is the Super Smash Bros series, which recently had its third wave released. However, the Super Mario Bros series has also been announced, and wave four of the Smash Bros series will be coming soon. So, to kick off the thread, we've got an official report from Nintendo regarding the port strike in the US, and its affects on North America's amiibo stock. It's also been said that an agreement seems to have been made with the strike, meaning the amiibo stock might increase soon! Oh well, glad to know Yoshi will (Even though he was a pretty obvious choice). Also, this is only for the first set, so there will still be other characters that will likely also work between multiple games.

He has a ugly yellow support instead of what as shown. I know I collect a few figure here and there, so I may be nitpicking but why the sudden drop in quality? Just for mass production? I don't mind them running out, as long as the outcome is great. Sad to say I might not pick up any at launch, and just wait till I main someone to grab one for competitive purposes.
