Allow me to explain.

Recycling one aluminium can apparently produces enough energy to power a television for 3 hours. And in the whole world there are ALOT of cans being recycled, therefore powering more TV sets for longer everyday. Therefore it is essential that we stop recycling aluminium cans for the sake of us all. Throw them away instead! You're better off that way.

In a nutshell, TV doesn't kill brain cells, aluminium cans do.

Peace!

Thank you for bringing this great injustice to the people.

Isn't it aluminum not aluminium?

Depends on what English you are using. Aluminium is correct in British English.  Though I am not sure what is correct in Australian or Canadian English. (I am guessing aluminium, but I could be wrong.)

You know, that's only applicable to the type of show you are watching. If you're like me, someone who likes watching scientific documentaries on Discovery Channel, then I highly doubt that your brain cells are being "killed".

I don't wanna sound rude, but aren't you just saying?

''I watch different TV Shows than you, then that means i'm smarter than you?''

No, I'm not suggesting I'm smarter than anyone, I'm just saying that the phrase "Watching TV kills your brain cells." is nothing more than nonsense. As for why brought up documentaries, I was backing up my statement with proof and an example. I'm not making this about myself, so please, there is no need to accuse me.

From my understanding TV doesn't kill braincells anymore than standing outside in the sun does, the real thing you have to worry about are your synapses. dendrites are constantly growing and changing to better suit your needs. And in some cases dendrites will lessen, weakening connections for specific types of actions or knowledge.

So by doing anything excessively you will strengthen the connections for what you are doing excessively and probably other connections will be weakening from lack of use.But I could be wrong.
