Hello everyone. So as you all know Final Fantasy Type-0 HD has been released today (and soon in other terratories of the world) and along with it a special limited demo called Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae is packages with the game as long as you buy it on the day of release of Type-0. Well I just got back from GameStop and I am currently downloading the special demo and I want to know how does it feel to finally play Final Fantasy XV (aka Versus XIII) after 8+ long years of waiting to play it?

It's pretty awesome so far. However, I'm pretty terrible at the combat in Episode Duscae right now.

I think Final Fantasy XV will be my all-time favorite video game if it is as awesome as the demo was.

Mine's still shipping, but it feels... I dunno, justified? Not awesome, necessarily, just vindication that it's actually happening. To me, there's a difference in what SE does and vaporware like Duke Nukem Forever. Same with, say, Valve and HL3; obviously it'll come out. There's no way it won't. But it's not going through any chaotic development cycle, just a really really slow one.

The Last Guardian, though, is up in the air =P.

It feels like its limited (in terms of gameplay). I hope they'll make it better live since this is a demo. If its really just gonna stay like this with minor changes here and there, then thats going to get boring.

Its still a good demo.

Its just amazing. After playing for 2 days, i finally got used to the combat system. You have to attack and defend if you want to win a battle; you also have to grind to make things a bit easier like before you go into the cave and fight like 100 goblins. The music is flat out amazing. The part where you go into the cave to fight the goblins has the best battle theme in the whole demo easily. Im so glad they picked Yoko to do the music, its about time they brought her on for an FF game. After playing the demo i am now even more excited for the release either later this year or next year. We finally have SOMETHING to hold us over until this game is finished. Thank you Square Enix for appeasing us; 8+ years with no information we thought this game was vaporware but now hope has been restored

I went into that cave no knowing what was going to happened and got demolished at the last part of the cave. It was still pretty awesome, though.

I completely agree with you. The demo is really great so far from what I've played. My only complaint is the gameplay. The combat could really use some polishing up because it can get really repetitive after a while. But other than that, this demo is outstanding. This demo is definitely going to tide me over until the full game comes out.

I can tell you it's pretty amazing to look at my psychical case of Type-0 and the disk because it is beautiful and so is the Voucher picture they are both just so beautiful with Noctus holding his up just ahhh....however I can't tell you how it feels to play either of those because I currently do not have a PS4 so yeah there is that...

They specifically limited your combat options due to it being a demo basically, but what I did find was that the attack options work a little awkwardly. There's the descending option that only works if you're above the target (so don't expect to see your weapon for that one), and Counter is just forvthe Parry feature. The other options are Crush, Ravage, and Vanquish. If you hold the combat button down, it starts with a single Crush and the Ravage just deals a small amount of damage until the enemy's HP reaches the point for a Vanquish attack. However, late into Episode Duscae, I found that rather than following the hold/mash method, a pause between 3 button presses deals a Crush, Crush, Vanquish combo that deals enough damage to wipe out enemys fast. A herd of Sabertusks (or a horde of goblins) goes down easily to the combo.
