Square Enix flew him over there. It's all marketing, he is like the biggest YouTube star in the world. He says one of his best friends is a big fan and he's played some of the games.

Ahh I see. That makes sense. Eh, I find him kinda annoying to be honest now, since I feel like his channel isn't even like I dunno not that authentic anymore now that he's big. But that's just me. Good for him though that he got an opportunity like that!

His definition of having 'played' some of the games comprises a few videos or less of him mocking the series.

As much as I enjoyed his videos on horror games and the 'Amnesia' series, I fervently don't believe that JRPGs with serious plots and epic music are his forte.

I agree. He's more of a YouTuber to watch for comedy videos and him just joking around all the time. He doesn't really pay attention to the plot of games, especially JRPGs nor does he really appreciate it, which is why I stopped watching him. I don't hate him or anything, and I think he's an okay guy but after all his like usual same reactions it just gets kinda annoying after a while. That's why I stick to Youtubers like Markiplier more because not only is he funny, but he also is much more engaged into the plot of videogames. (Although I have to admit PewDie was way better in his The Walking Dead Lets Play) I dunno, I guess PewDie is just overrated for me now.

How do you know he's not a fan of KH or FF? Did he say it out loud in a video or tweet or something? Just because he didn't do videos on them doesn't mean he doesn't like them or played them.
