Prior to the release of Bravely Default: For the Sequel (simply Bravely Default in the West), Square Enix trademarked Bravely Second and Bravely Third. Now that the second title of the series will release in Japan soon, producer Tomoya Asano and Shinji Takahashi discussed the franchise in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine. [Thanks, Hachima]

During the interview, Famitsu asks the Bravely Second producers to share their thoughts on the game.

“I feel like there’s been more of a response to [Bravely Second] than the previous game,” Takahashi replies. Meanwhile, Asano stated, “We’ve packed it with all the ideas we can think of for its story and system.”

The two are then asked about how long it took them to clear the game from start to end. Asano says that it took him about 70 hours while loosely going through all of the game’s elements.

Takahashi explains, however, that it takes about 50 hours to do get through just the main story alone, but if you want to level all the jobs and check out sub-scenarios, it can easily go over 100 hours.

Famitsu then asks for a few words on the future of the series.

“I don’t know what to say about that at this time [with Bravely Second releasing soon] but I already have some ideas for Bravely Third in my head,” Asano replies. “If Bravely Second sells well, I plan on presenting plans for it right away. Thank you for your continued support.”

I'd rather not having to buy anything new nintendo-wise as far as consoles go. Dropping money on new hardware just encourages their behavior.

then I already have ideas on how to spend my money :D

would like it to come out on 3DS more, but as a nice stopgap between the 3DS and the next Ninty handheld it'd be pretty cool if it was N3DS-exclusive. I'm sure the dev could do some cool stuff with that extra power to better the series

hope he also has ideas on how to make the Bravely series better than just a mediocre Final Fantasy knock off
