With KH3 a long way from releasing, all I can do at this point is speculate about it's story... But it's fun to do so!

 

Here are my questions...

 

How deep will things go this time? What kind of turns will the story take? Will we learn more about Sora, Riku, and Kairi's background so we can understand them better as characters? How tough will the things get? Will there ever be a point where Sora is truly desperate? Will Sora unlock more powers for his keyblade? Will there be a romance between Sora and Kairi? Will we see new KH characters? And many, many more...

 

So are you guys wondering about any of this? Let me know below!

I'm more curious as to how many retcons Nomura plans to squeeze into this one.

Hmm I wonder if Sora will loose his childish behaviour due to some negative experiences or his contact with the darkness. I hope not.

I actually hope it's simple without any twists. Only revelations. Either way I'm going to get them chills for sure.

 

Will we learn more about Sora, Riku, and Kairi's background so we can understand them better as characters?

What more can we learn about them really?

 

How tough will the things get? 

Probably not much, except the Org. XIII trying to stop the guys from doing stuff, like trying to bring TAV back.

 

Will there ever be a point where Sora is truly desperate? 

Probably at the last fight. 7 vs 13 isn't a very fair fight.

 

 Will Sora unlock more powers for his keyblade?

Don't we already know he will?

 

Will there be a romance between Sora and Kairi?

I hope there are some hints towards it, just to keep it alive. Maybe they can come out as a couple in the next saga.

 

And here's something I want to talk about this. I've seen people say something like "Well they can't fall in love with each other because that would ruin the theme of the game and also, what if both Rku and Kairi are in danger, who would Sora rush to save first?"

 

What does it matter if they are in love or not? Both Riku and Sora would rush to save Kairi first, they would also expect that from each other. Actually best way around is if an event like this isn't written. It's not like the story is unpredictable, someone is writing it.

 

PS: Not to mention that both KH and CoM prove that Sora has feelings for Kairi.

I believe that the story leads to where Sora goes through worlds and finds Aqua in the darkness before Riku can find her and Sora learns more from Aqua which potentially leads him to finding his true power as he finds more about the past and how he and Riku met them as children and made them who they are today. After he finds his power he then unites with the 7 lights and fights against Xehanort and the 13 darkness in the Keyblade Graveyard and the final clash begins.
