Endless Blade Waltz; Rebirth RP Thread!

Posted

Another night in the faux Inn... The man, covered in his brown shroud, sat across from you and the rest of the people from the day before, and he began once again.

"Back again today, I see..."

The man looked around at those seated, a faint cackle escaped from his throat. With no less than the arrival of the first round of drinks, it started again.

"Our story starts with some young lads and maiden's, dancers and fighters, grace, and brutality."

With that, your mind melted away, the images of multiple people began to float in your mind as the world around you, this inn, seemed to almost vanish...

"Our first scene: In the school grounds, midday, the students have been let out for lunch break..."

Day one: DNA of the Heart

Midday, Year 278, ENDLESS

The sun hung above the school of barbarians and entertainers quite lightly this day. One could only dream of such a nice day to be outside, the sun was just right, it smelled of Spring, fresh grass and newly-bloomed flowers peppered the air in their unique smell, the near-by lake shimmered  in the sunlight. A day like this was not one to be spent in a classroom, so when that bell rung, not a soul, not even the faculty could resist such a glorious day.

At the center of the school's inner grounds, a fountain sat, water gently bubbling out of the faucets at the top. A blade and a ribbon, sculpted in stone, sat atop this fountain. And soon, student's decorated the benches near by. Chatting, eating, the like. Some of hem hoped to go for a quick swim in the lake before class started again, others were just genuinely glad they were able to smell the fresh air of the out doors as they sat on the cobble stone floor in the quad....

The lake, many called in Fluorspar Lake, was in the wide open, save a few oak trees in the landscape, providing shade and a spot for a swing, and the small cliff overlooking it which many a person dived into. The shimmering, clear water showed the fluorspar gemstones that could be found in its sand....

(Alright! So, for your starting post, you have either the choice of the School Quad, or the Lake to start at. For sake of ease, when entering an area you do not know much about the appearance of, put some sort of mark to indicate this. Something like a "..." or a dash will do.)

Oume looked at Shela and looked away, "Look at me... You honestly think I could forget those killers?" Pointing to his bandages, but then thought it was best to show her what was under the bandage. He took off his left glove and took a deep breath, "I have to say, I never planned on showing this only my partner but by the looks of that shudder you went through something similar." He slowly took off the bandage to show the charred skin, "This is what happens when to aren't strong enough to stop the people who damage you." Oume says to Shela with the look of daggers, "I swear... I'll kill them... I'll kill them all." He wrapped his arm back up and put his glove then turned to her, "We should get to class now, don't you think?" He said, starting to walk to the gym.

I never posted, did I?

*FaceHOOOOOOOORSE*

Heh. Heh. Heh. Well, let me find the sign-ups.

*is in*

What if we start from the next day, where everyone knows each other still but it'll kind of be starting fresh?  I fear the intros will be long and tedious again, and slightly boring.  I'll go with whatever you choose to do, but that may work a little better.

(We can do that, again, however, I must call a vote. All in favor?)

B-Bucket?! ...Guys... I can't argue with a girl who has a firetrucking BUCKET of coffee. I'm strong but boiling coffee hurts like no one knows.

Then put up that reboot post and let's go!

Then put up that reboot post and let's go!

Will do when I'm done goring myself with food.

Day two

The sunlight from the early morning rays accompanied the rings of the school bell. The day before was quite peaceful, but today wouldn't be as easy... The school bell rung.

Inside the dorms, life was starting again. The sound of both guys and girls alike arming themselves with their apparel and binders with papers stuffed to the brim with notes and pencils. It was a few hours before school, however no-one was allowed to leave campus at this time. In the quad, a breakfast buffet had been set up for the young students so that they may have a great start to their day. However, as with school before opening hours, people were still allowed to come in and get things done that they needed to...

Your options for movement are: Stand in the Quad, roam the Halls, or be in the Dorms/your room. If it is not remembered, yes, it is gender seperated so if you want to meet a friend/potential ship that isn't of the same gender as you, you will have to leave the housing area.

(For some reason I overlooked this starting post!  My bad.)

Shela stifled a yawn as she closed the door softly to her dorm.  The hour was still early, and she'd been up for several hours before finally relenting to insomnia and just getting up.  The day prior had been relatively uneventful, but at least she'd gotten to meet a few of her fellow classmates. Oume in particular stood out in her mind.  The young man seemed very caught up in seeking revenge for his losses, and, frankly, Shela couldn't blame him a bit because she felt similarly.

Tucking a lock of pale-blue hair behind her ear, she proceeded into the breakfast hall.  She needed to finish a paper before class, but she couldn't easily do it on an empty stomach.  Perhaps the breakfast hall would already be crowded, but she hoped not.  While she enjoyed the companionship of merry folk, noise pollution bothered her.  At the very least there were a number of empty tables available.  Eventually the warrior helped herself to some orange juice and a piece of toast, eyeing the rest of the students and hoping to recognize someone.

Oume looked at his clock and noticed that it was time for breakfast, he woke up and looked around the room. He was glad that he was able to get a room to himself since it was hard for him to sleep with his bandages on. He did his morning routine and headed out with his weapons, *YAWN* "Man, I couldn't sleep a wink last night... But at least I didn't let the time go to waste cleaning my weapons." He said to no one imparticular. He went out to the Quad and noticed the breakfast buffet and was walking over to it but stopped and shook his head. 'Not yet, I need to train before I can eat.' He thought then ran over to the lake to do some laps.

"Out of my way!"

The twins stepped out of their dorm, Rune brushing some wrinkles out of his clothing as Runa fixed his holster so his sword wouldn't swing around smacking everyone as he walked. The two shared dorms out of convenience that they were siblings, and if Runa accidentally set something on fire his brother would be able to put it out without much problem. They walked over to the breakfast hall where the twins could do the one thing that the two could agree on; food. Once they got there they picked up their choice breakfast. Rune some scrambled eggs and apple juice, Runa went ahead and got himself toast and lots of bacon. "If you keep eating so much of that you'll get sick of it." Rune scolded. Runa shrugged. "As if! A warrior's gotta eat!" Rune smiled, walking around as they searched for a table. "There's one right over there." Rune smiled, walking over to the available table and introducing himself to the one already sitting there (Shela). "Hey, hope you don't mind if we seat here for a bit? The place is pretty packed." Rune said with a small bow to the warrior before sitting down with his brother.

Alyssa sat on her bed quietly.

~~~
Syfe quickly sat next to Shela. He set his platter of pancakes and eggs down in front of him. He quickly cracked open a carton of orange juice and took a swig. The blue-haired youth glanced to his blue-haired comrade next to him. "This seat wasn't taken was it? Oh well, they should know to better mark their space if they want to keep it." He said with an uncaring shrug. He cut a piece of pancake and ate it as he glanced up towards the other two. The dancer he had met yesterday, Rune, and someone who looked frighteningly similar to him. A brother perhaps?
~~~

69... 70... 71... Rija thought back on the previous day. It had been largely uneventful. She had met those two warriors, Shela and Oume. They seemed like delightful people, that much was certain. But Oume wanted vengeance... It would break her heart to see such a nice guy waste his life on such a ridiculous and fruitless concept. 100. Rija finished her set of crunches and shot some water into her mouth from her bottle. She glanced over towards the breakfast hall that was beginning to fill up. She had enjoyed her own meal about an hour earlier before she had begun her workout. Classes would start soonish. And then another day would pass. Rija was having a good time, but she was hoping that life at the school would be a little more... exciting.

Shela glanced up from a piece of paper she'd been examining on the table.  Beside her sat a blue-haired teen, one she hadn't yet met during her short time at the school.  She eyed him a moment, blankly, as he spoke, before finally shrugging.  "No, I don't have anyone who would want to take the chair beside me."  It's not like I have any friends, she thought numbly, wondering what it was actually like to have someone you could talk to and share everything with.  Her life was too busy for friends, however.  She needed to excel through the ranks quickly, become a true warrior, and start fighting for the injustice of the world so no more disasters happened as they did to her hometown.

The blue-haired woman considered Syfe momentarily before speaking.  "Pardon my curiosity, but how long have you been here at this school?  I think I have seen you before, but I don't believe we have yet met.  My name is Shela, and I must admit that I'm rather new."

Before Syfe could continue, however, Rune and Runa approached.  The two appeared to be twins, and they looked oddly familiar.  Finally it dawned on Shela where she'd seen them before: at the match around the fountain the day prior.  Upon their inquiry the warrior shook her head.  "Nope, table's free.  Have a seat.  I hope you don't mind papers all over the place, though."  She gave Rune a glance, considering him momentarily.  She didn't yet have a dancer partner chosen yet, though she figured she would venture into the world without one.  She would be heavily at a disadvantage, but she was notorious for breaking any sort of alliance or friendship she'd attain in record time.

Rune smiled and clapped his hands together. “I remember the two of you! You were around the fountain yesterday with the whole fight and all! Did you managed to see me dance? Bet I enchanted you with my moves!~” Rune cooed, doing a small pose before continuing to eat. Runa watched as the pieces of bacon sizzled on his skin before eating up. Rune smacked him a bit. “How rude, we haven’t introduced ourselves! I’m Rune, dancer extraordinaire! And this is my less than fabulous warrior twin brother, Runa.” Rune hummed, eating up. Runa raised his hand slightly. “I’m the oldest of the two. Nice to meet you.” Runa murmured, avoiding eye contact with Shela specifically. Rune chuckled. “Forgive my less than talkative brother. He’s terrible at talking to girls! Especially for such a beauty as yourself, my dear.” Rune explained, smiling. “Ignore my idiot brother.” Runa murmured, hissing at his twin. “No, we aren’t partners. We prefer to be away from each other.” Rune explained.
