Konami is dying, Nintendo is still going strong and so is Square Enix.

Posted

Seriously, all Nintendo did that was ultimately their one horrid decision as of now was that YouTube ordeal. Other than that, they're fine. They're making the next Zelda, the next Star Fox, Mario Maker, doing DLC right, and getting attractions at Universal.

Square Enix has lots of promising games planned, and is even getting their own conference at E3.

Konami is canceling Silent Hills, booting Kojima, and making horrid decisions left and right.

So, who's got it better?

Both. And I wouldn't say Konami is dying. If they have money problems, they just can make a another 2D Castlevania game.

Plus, why is this in random? Should it be in the Video game section?

I thought it was pretty random.

Kinda hard without Koji Igarashi there. His last Castlevania game was Harmony of Despair and yes you guessed it, that was also the last 2D Castlevania game. Pretty sure Konami couldn't care less about 2D Castlevania.

Edit: Speaking of Igarashi.....

Well, I hope it's better than Los.

Well, I hope it's better than Los.

From the looks of it it's definitely going to be 2D. So no LoS like. I'm so hyped.

OMFG if Michiru Yamane does the soundtrack I'm going to die from a heart attack.

Well, Konami doesn't really care much about video games anymore. They main source of money are pachinko machines and like day spas or some shit, both Japan only (also I think mobile games, but I'm not sure on that). They're doing fine, just not in the video game market, and they're just fine with that.

F*ck Konami. They lost my faith the minute they decided to remove Kojima's name from his games.

You forgot the part where they don't understand supply and demand when it comes to toys/collectables.

Actually the worst decision for Nintendo was and will always be Amiibo! I love Amiibo personally, but the supply is poor and there is too much of a demand.

As for Konami, the only concern I have about them doing so poorly and being so weak is what will happen to Yu-Gi-Oh!? Konami is the company behind Yu-Gi-Oh! and so I feel like if Konami truly died, there would be no more Yu-Gi-Oh! anymore!

Konami does its share of bs when it comes to YuGiOh :/

Elder God Noden on the Tin that's worth s***, while the other Tin has Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon and Castel the Skyblaster Musketeer, meaning that if you want those 3 cards, you have to buy one of each Tin, spending 40 bucks in the process

DARN YOU KONAMI

Well I am not exactly talking about the card game, as I could never figure out how to play it in person and don't have money to spend it on cards. I am thinking about the anime and the video games! Duelist of the Roses is one of my favorite card video games, and if Konami died, we would never get a chance to have something like that again. Plus I am a huge fan of the original anime, and I am trying to get into the other series, but I am so behind cause I chose not to watch them growing up, so now it's going to be awhile till I finish them, but that is another story.
