Anyone know a good story synopsis of Kingdom Hearts 3D?

Posted

I have this game for the 3DS, but I can't get through it. I tried several times, but I just don't like it much.

But ofcourse everyone says the story of this game is absolutely essential to even understand Kingdom Hearts 3, so... Anyone know a good place to read up on the story?

Here's the synopsis:

Sora and Riku take the Mark of Mastery exam.

Lea learns to use a Keyblade.

Every Nort ever messes up the MoM exam and Master Xehanort tries to take Sora as a vessel, but Ventus and Riku save him.

The memories Sora harbors that were spoken about in KH:ReCoded finally come to the surface.

Time travel is introduced into the Kingdom Hearts series.

Master Xehanort introduces his master plan: To pit seven lights and thirteen darknesses against each other to forge the X-blade and start the Keyblade war again.

It's a lot to take in. I probably missed something. Watch cutscenes if you really, really, REALLY don't want to play the game.

Kingdom Hearts is time travels

Sora and Riku go on the Mark of Mastery test. They go back in time, encounter Ansem in a cloak from the start of KH1, who alters their path so they go where Xehanort wants them to. As an unconscious reaction to this Riku turns into a Dream Eater and enters Sora's mind. They do some irrelevant Disney stuff, then go to The World That Never Was. Eventually Sora goes to fight xemnas and gets exhausted and collapses. Young Xehanort then explains how time travel works, and explains that Xehanort is gathering a bunch of Xehanorts throughout history. Riku tries to wake Sora up and fights a cloaked dream eater thing, but ultimately Sora is kidnapped by Xehanort, who tries to use his heart to take over Sora's boy, like he did with Terra. Lea shows up and blocks the heart, then Riku fights Young Xehanort, who seemingly get possessed and he gets a laser keyblade. They save Sora, Xehanort just kinda gives up, and then they return to the real world, Riku enters Sora's heart to svae it form darkness, and finds Ventus' heart is trying to protect Sora by wrapping him in his keyblade armour, but the armour gets corrupted. Riku fights that, and everybody is saved. Then Lea reveals he has a keyblade now because he asked for one, Sora goes back to the Dream World to say hi to the Dream Eaters, and Riku goes to the Destiyn Islands to pick up Kairi so Yen Sid can teach her to use her keyblade

Okay, that's confusing. I hope to God Kingdom Hearts III includes a recap.

you won't need to know the details to understand kh3. all that's important is xehanort is gathering 13 different versions of himself across time to pit against 7 'guardians of light' (i.e. good keyblade wielders) which should forge the x-blade. the versions of himself include original old guy, xemnas, young xehanort, ansem sod and then a few organization xiii members who he's taken over. to prepare for the fight, sora and his friends have to gather 7 keyblade wielders, which means they're now gonna try and wake up ven, find aqua, and train up lea and kairi.

Wow really? It sounds like you didn't tried hard enough to finish the game. Like where did you stop before you give up?

Pretty much when I got to that Tron world. I've never seen those movies, they don't interest me in the slightest, and I can't stand those worlds. And the fact that I was stuck with these dumb Pokemon instead of getting Donald & Goofy didn't give me much incentive either

Once, there was a cheap Villain Sue.

He was so cheap that everyone died.

The End.

Long story short: nothing you did previously matters.
