I'm just really curious. I know this one YouTuber who did a LP of KH3D (he also did KH1 & KH2)and said he didn't play the portable titles but read the synopsis of them.

A friend of mine has an xbox one. He was under the impression (as so many are) that KH was a game for kids, and that it wasn't to be taken seriously. i briefly explained it to him and now he's been doing tons of research, and showing interest. He's always asking me to explain things to him at work. He says he'll buy the new one, but not the others because it wont be worth going back and buying a ps3 or the other random handhelds.

Probably most Xbox One owners who'd have no idea WTF is going on in the game cuz they never got the 1.52.5 collections on the Xbox 360 to begin with

I don't know any but I would feel bad for anyone buying KH3 with no previous story/plot knowledge. They are going to be so confused. 

My cousin, who is the one who introduced the series to me, hasn't played a KH game since KHII and while I've told him that games like BBS and DDD are CRUCIAL, he doesn't really care and just wants to move ahead with KHIII regardless. He knows he might not understand everything, but he just wants to play the game. I can't exactly argue with him because it's not like he'll complain if he doesn't get something, he KNOWS he will. He's just choosing to press on, anyway.

I don't really know anyone. My friend hasn't played BBS because she doesn't have a PSP, but she did see a let's play on YouTube.

Whoever they are, I wish them good luck. Playing the game might be confusing, but maybe that's for the better. They will only see the tip of the iceberg, the brink of the obliterating vortex that is the KH story.

Most likely clueless semi-large YouTubers who are looking to make money off of it
