My mom looked at my downloaded pictures files on my tablet, found inappropriate stuff that involve Kingdom Hearts and said very harshly things to me. She said stuff like: "You're f****** sick", "You have a sad life for doing this. This must be your talent then. Looking at f****** sick shit." , "I'm not going to hit you, but I'm disappointed.", "Are you gay? Because straight people don't look at this shit."  And I don't allow gay people in this house."

Then she told my little brothers and little sister with a happy voice: "At least you don't act like your big brother. Don't end up as him, ok?" Then she went outside to talk with my aunt and her friends about something on the news or some adult party. I'm in my basement right now, sitting next to the dryer, filled with stress and depression. My life is ruined. Now anytime I play Kingdom Hearts, my mom and me think about this horrible talking today. I don't know what to do.................................................

Hang in there man, this is rough for sure. Life is full of moments that seem unbearable and you'll think you won't be able to get past this stuff but you will. Just try to surround yourself with positive things. I'm not really an expert on advice for these kinds of issues so I'm not sure what else I can say. Despite being a stranger on an online forum, I can still empathize with you though, and at least try to lend some advice.

When I'm faced with a situation that feels out of my control, I try to look at it from a wider perspective. I take a few deep breaths and assess the situation. The important thing is to get your emotions and thoughts in check. Again, I'm not an expert on advice for situations like this at all. Don't let the things your mom said beat you down though. Whats important is how you view yourself.

Maybe listen to some music if that helps, as well. That helps me usually.

yea try to get lost in some tunes. if i could recommend a group, I would say Matt and Kim. they're music is mostly really upbeat and happy sounding stuff. as the wiki describes them, "indie pop." if that's your thing of course. definitely my go to group for when i'm feeling stressed out.

I have to say something similar happened to me a few years back, (I REALLY dread thinking about that day) and all I have to say things like that happen. It's more common than you think, and often it's just one of those moments that really stick on you for a while. When it happened to me, my parents didn't have a reaction like that however it did impact my life and I can't even think about it without getting all sad/depressed. Now, I can only imagine what the firetruck you're going through right now. She should've never said such terrible things to you and just know that you're an awesome person and you do what YOU like. Me, yeah I have one of those... Folders somewhere, but it's perfectly human to have something like that. Don't let her drag you down and make you feel like shit. And DEFINITELY don't let her ruin Kingdom Hearts or anything else like that for you. I know what it's like to have something you one enjoyed ruined for you and it's one of the worst things in the world. Do not let that happen. Right now, it's definitely going to be hard over the next few months especially with a damn mother like that. But just know it'll pass eventually. It'll leave a scar, but just hang in there and try to calm down. Again, whatever you do don't let this day ruin Kingdom Hearts or anything else for you. Because again, it is not a good experience.

My advice for you is to just forget about it . Try doing other things or maybe take a walk outside . Get some fresh air and clean your mind . It usually works for me . Now about your mother , well , you should talk about it with her . Maybe she'll understand .

It's not the pics being wrong, it's your mom being wrong. As much as she hurt you with her words, be strong and be yourself.
