The Legend of Zelda: Wrath of the Dark Fairy (Roleplay)

Posted

"Those low-lives think we're meant to be trapped in jars....I'll show them! By ridding this entire land to nothing but fairies! And I will be the Queen! Queen and ruler of all fairies!"

Those were the words of the Dark Fairy, revealing her viscous plot. Peace had been going on in Hyrule until she rose up. And the Dark Fairy has been causing nothing but trouble and havoc in order to get her revenge on all other creatures....Especially Hylians.

Monsters have been appearing more rapidly, lands are being cursed with dark magic....This has gone long enough.

Princess Zelda was facing the window in the throne room with a look of worry. This conflict has to end somehow. Something must be done. There was only one way to stop this madness. She nodded to herself and quickly got pieces of paper, Royal Designed envelopes exclusive to Royalty, and a pen. She wrote down in each of the notes:

"Dear Warrior, I ask you desperately for help. A being known as the Dark Fairy has been causing nothing but destruction and havoc across Hyrule. If this goes on any longer, who knows what will happen....Please, I ask you! Come quickly to the Hyrule Castle where you will find me. The guards will let you through once you show them this letter. Other warriors will be joining you. I hope you will work together and get along well. I'll expect your arrivals.

From, Princess Zelda"

After writing these, she picked up the envelopes,  walked towards the open window, and let the wind blow them away, where they will find the warriors that will go on the journey...

Daka, a young boy of the Deku tribe, was sitting in his home on his bed, just looking out his window. Nothing was really going on in his village, he was thinking about finding a new place to live, where he can make friends. Suddenly, he saw something coming at his window, and it was a piece of paper. The letter flew into his house and flew around, and Daka attempted to catch the letter. He read quickly through,

"Dear warrior, I ask you desperately for help..."

He skipped most of the message and got to the last sentences. "Other warriors will be joining you. I hope you will work together and get along well. I'll expect your arrivals

From, Princess Zelda"

Daka got up, grabbed his Rupee sack and Bottle of Romani Milk, and set off for Hyrule. He was running as fast as his short legs could carry him. Finally arriving in Hyrule, the first destination he was stopped by was the front gate guards. "Halt! Dekus are not permitted to enter the Castle!"

Daka pulled out the message he got and showed it to the guards. They read through it and said,"Oh, you are here for the request Princess Zelda has made. I see. My apologies. You may enter!" The two soldiers stepped to the sides and opened the gates.

Daka nodded to the guards and ran through. Daka was finally in the castle. He was amazed by the stained glass design on the windows, in fact it was far more incredible than what he expected. He looked around and asked for directions to the place Zelda wanted them to meet her at.

Nora was just leaving a small town East of the castle when the letter was blown into her path. She had come here because of rumors of monsters that she thought might be connected to the Dark Fairy. It had actually been a prank by some teenagers, but the villagers were happy that the potential threat was gone, and that was what mattered. Curiously, the knight picked the letter up, reading it quickly. Princess Zelda... Well, it was a good thing she hadn't gone too far from Hyrule Castle, then. If she hurried, the trip would only take a few hours.

A while later she arrived at the gate, just in time to see a small Deku pull out a piece of paper and then pass through. He had received a letter as well, then? She nodded respectfully to the guards as she passed through the still open castle gates. They probably needed to work on their security... Show up in uniform and any sort of check becomes unnecessary? That was irrelevant at the moment, though. She was under orders from the Princess, and "come quickly" didn't mean "waste time lecturing guards." Nora waited quietly outside the throne room. The Princess would probably send for them when she had time. The knight could wait untill then.

"Zzzz..." This was the sound of young Kokiri Kai resting beside his tree house. Meanwhile, his little pink fairy friend, Pixi, was floating around Kai. And it could be seen that she was bored. And annoyed. "Ugh....How can somebody sleep for this long? Even for Kai, this must be a world record..." She muttered. Pixi flew up to Kai's face, about to wake him up. But she was quickly interrupted when an envelope collided with her entirely. She fell to the ground with the envelope on top of her. Her wings fluttered faster to carry the letter to Kai, who was still sleeping. Irritated by these events, she flew in front of Kai and screamed as loud as she could...

"HEY!!!"

This caused a reaction from Kai, causing him to jump, fall, and finally wake up. "Ohh.....Sheesh. Why'd you have to do that Pixi?" He whined, rubbing his eyes and sitting up. "I was having a really good dream..."

"Never mind that! LOOK! I'm carrying something that hit me! Tell me what it is!" She said, still irritated. Once finished rubbing his eyes and sitting on the ground, Kai blinked twice to see a floating letter. He reached out his hand and grabbed it. "It looks like a letter." He said, looking down at it. Pixi flew above Kai's head, looking at the letter as well. "It's not just any letter! It's a Royal Letter! Just look at how it's designed!" She said. "Open it up! Hurry!"

"You don't have to tell me twice!" Kai said, opening the letter. He read from "Dear Warriors" all the way to "From,"...

"PRINCESS ZELDA!!??" They both said at the same time. It was surprising to them. "Princess Zelda wrote to me....This. Is. AWESOME! Ha ha! Let's go!" Kai said, quickly getting up and running to climb the ladder to his treehouse with Pixi following him. "I'm amazed you got it..." She commented.

Kai opened his own wood-made treasure chest and got his little sword, his green hat, his Deku Shield, and last but not least, his piccolo. He smiled and then rushed out, going to the castle.

"That must be it!" Pixi said. There it was. Hyrule Castle. A very big place. Kai has been here on a few occasions. And he enjoyed every moment. And this time, he wouldn't have to worry about- "HALT!" ....Guards. Guards blocking his path from the one door to the inside of Hyrule Castle. "Oh...Hey Mike! Hey Mark!" He greeted seemingly happy. "Kai...Should've known. If you're hoping to get more Rupees from us, your hopes will sadly diminish." Mark said, the guard on the right. "No, no, not that....I'm here to see Princess Zelda!" The guards were silent....Then laughed. "Hah hah hah! You? You think you can see Princess Zelda? Hah hah!" Mike said, the guard on the left, laughing. "No, no. A boy of your knowledge and age couldn't possibly be worthy of such a task." Mark said.

"LISTEN!" Pixi yelled, coming in sight and flying in the air, facing the guards. "We have very important business! We got a letter from her!"

"Now isn't that a tale of misbelief?" Mark said. But both Mike and Mark's expression were soon astonished when Kai held in his hand a Royal Family styled envelope. Only those were exclusive and kept in Hyrule Castle and used by the Royal Family! "I-I....*ahem* I am...Terribly mistaken.....S-Sir and....Ma'am...." Mark said. The guards then stepped to the side, allowing Kai to walk in. "You may...Enter."

"Why thank you, kind sirs! Heh Heh!" Kai said, bowing down before walking inside.

Rabiyu was making her way through the streets of Castle Town towards her destination."It seems that this place hasn't changed that much." She thought. "Not in a very long time. That letter came as a surprise from the sky."--------------------------Early that day Rabiyu was helping another unfortunate soul who got lost in the Lost Woods. For some reason people liked to explore the forest. It was when her visitor was at the exit and running back to wherever place they where needed that she caught a glimpse of a piece of paper floating in the wind. Said piece of paper was a letter, which she got a few minutes later.A summon from the Princess of Hyrule herself was odd, but who was she to say no. Going back to her hideout to get a few supplies she then made her way towards Hyrule Castle Town.--------------------------"And that's how I got here." Rabiyu said. She was now talking to the guards at the entrance of the castle."Well...uh." The guard said as he tried to take a peek inside the hood of Rabiyu's cloak to see her face. "That was...interesting? Please go inside. The Princess is waiting for you.""Indeed she is." Rabiyu answered. "If you excuse me."The young ranger made her way into the castle where the Princess should be waiting for her, or them."And once again the wheel of fate begins to turn." She thought.

"Kai look!" Pixi said to Kai while he was walking through the castle. "What is it Pixi?" Kai asked, having his hands behind his back. "Look at those guys! They must be the other warriors the Princess mentioned!" She said. Kai then saw a Deku Scrub looking around the castle and looking behind him, a hooded girl. "They must have gotten the letter too!" Kai said. He decided to at least say hi to one of them. And he chose to say hi to the Deku Scrub. He went up to him and tapped Daka on the shoulder. "Hello! My name's Kai! Are you because of the Princess too?" He said with a smile.

(Come on guys. At least talk to each other while we're waiting xD )

Maxwell had just arrived in hyrule after a long, and tiring trek through the land, without rest as the letter specified, he wasn't exhausted, but pretty tired nonetheless, he examined each and every part of the city, always examining things, he made quite a habit of doing so, never know when something might turn hostile.

Walking through the streets, busy but controlled as always, the guards always did a good job at keeping it that way, he soon approached the castle gates, stopped by two guards who examined him up and down...and his equipment, immediately deducing he was a mercenary, "Mercenary! if you wish for work then its the guard post with you!, not the cast-"  Maxwell had no patience for that, he simply held the letter sent to him in front of the guards, as they soon stood silent, bowed their heads and moved aside.

It was there he noticed quite the characters, a Deku, a young kid, a young woman who had a sword and a hooded girl, with a bow...was these the people he'd have to work with? he simply walked along, trying to look friendly, but his armor and weapons might not exactly make him look the type.

One of Princess Zelda's envelopes lazily looped through the air, on its way to a suitable warrior. An observer would see it swoop down on the wind, aiming for a little cottage in the forest. It passes by a few trees, then behind another, where it failed to reappear.

Around the tree, in it's shadow, Nox examined the letter critically before opening it and reading it. A wicked grin spread across her lips as she finished it.

"Smells like an opportunity." She said to herself. "And perhaps some pawns to play with."

Nox waved a hand, causing the letter to disappear to where she could produce it again, if necessary. Still grinning, she started traveling through the shadows to Hyrule Castle.

Nora continued to observe as the other warriors arrived. A Deku, a Kokiri, a Hylian man with a number of weapons, and a bow carrying Hylian woman wearing a hood. The Princess said to get along, so she guessed she should learn more about them. The knight walked up to the hooded lady (Rabiyu). "Hello. My name is Nora Paulson. How do you do?" She detested small talk, really, but it was expected, and a good place as any to start.

"The palace is still the same." Rabiyu thought. "It's been almost"

Something stopped Rabiyu from her internal monologue. That something was a voice.

"Nora Paulson?" She repeated before removing her hood and giving a small bow. "A pleasure. My name is Rabiyu, ranger of the Lost Woods."

It was an ingeresting change from the life in the forest. Having someone to talk was a rare thing for the Ranger.

"I'm a little tired from my journey from the forest, but the Princess was calling for warriors so here I am"

Rabiyu then tilted her head while wrapping her braid around her neck.

"How about you, Miss Paulson?" She asked.

"The pleasure is all mine, Miss Rabiyu." A Ranger from the Lost Woods? How fascinating. Nora had never been there, but she had heard stories of it. None of those had mentioned Rangers, though... "I had the fortune of being only a few hours from the Castle when I received Princess Zelda's letter, so the trip was not so bad. I am curious, though," she added with a smile, "what are the Lost Woods like? I have never had the chance to visit."

"The forest is nice." She answered. "And it's very calm most of the time"

Rabiyu shook her head slowly.

"Sometimes people get lost in there thanks to the magic from the forest and it's my job to help them."

The young ranger gave a small smile.

"There is also the forest children, the kokiri, that live with the Deku Tree, the guardian of the forest."

Kai managed to overhear the word, "Kokiri", which he viewed as a cue for him to appear. He then ran up behind Nora, ready to give his introduction. "Kokiri like me!" He said, introducing himself. "My name is Kai! I'm one of the Kokiri back in the forest. I heard the word Kokiri, so I just had to come by!" Kai was smiling happily, with Pixi flying around his head.

"Kai look!" Pixi said to Kai while he was walking through the castle. "What is it Pixi?" Kai asked, having his hands behind his back. "Look at those guys! Daka felt someone tapping his shoulder, and he turned to see Kai, who has just introduced himself. Daka... Had a poor ability to speak. He only knew how to speak a few words in English, the rest was,"Deku" language, or in most other races' cases: Gibberish. Daka Nodded back to Kai, and in response to introducing himself, Daka replied,"Waah. (Yes. I am Daka!) Wooah. (I came because letter.)" Daka couldn't really express how happy he really is, but he tried. He then waved to Nora and Rabiyu as a way of saying hello without having to confuse them.

Hmm. So there was at least a degree of truth to the stories of people getting lost in the forest. It actually was due to magic, although maybe not the 'curse' that many thought it was. Nora turned to the side slightly so that she could see the person who spoke next. Naturally she would never admit later that her hand had twitched toward her sword slightly at the Kokiri's voice. She didn't like to have people behind her, just another little tick that had resulted from her experiences as a knight. 'Hmm,' she thought slightly sarcastically to herself as she listened to Kai, 'wonder what the race of this boy is. If the clothes weren't a dead giveaway and the fact that a person with the appearance of a Hylian child was summoned as a warrior didn't cut it...' "It is nice to meet you mister Kai, and mister Deku. My name is Nora Paulson, and I am a knight of Hyrule." She smiled and bowed slightly to show her intent. It was impolite to expect someone to know your language if you didn't understand theirs. Then Nora stepped back so that she could see all three of the people with whom she was speaking. "I hope that your stay here has been acceptable so far?" She did live here after all, it was expected that she try to represent her city well.

"Yup! You bet! This place is huge! I've never been to anything like it outside of the forest!" Kai responded. Pixi then flew in front of Kai's forehead. "It still amazes me to the fact that he got the chance...By the way, my name's Pixi. My job is to keep this little Kokiri in check cause you know, he gets a bit wild sometimes." The little pink fairy said.

Maxwell couldn't help but overhear about the mist forest, which Rabiyu was a ranger from, he quickly approached the group as they conversed, "THe mist forest eh? quite the weird forest, passed through it a few times, never got lost thankfully, didn't know there were rangers there..." he commented as he now approached the group and simply waved his hand with a chuckle. "Name's Maxwell, its good to meet you all." he introduced himself, hopefully they wouldn't mind a heavily armed mercenary speaking to them.

"Im from Hyrule as well, but from one of the villages nearby, never been to the castle though, never went farther than the guard post...for jobs..." he said with a laugh.

The guards were standing vigilant, but even their resolved wavered as a new figure came upon them. Swords drew, spears leveled. Calls for mages, archers, and more men sounded. The gate in a state of commotion, people moved away as a semi-circle of soldiers surrounded the black-dress twin tail girl standing there.

"You were banished from this land, Exile!" The leader barked. "How dare you come to the C-"

Silence reigned as a letter bearing Zelda's seal unfurled. They were dumbfounded. Shocked.

"I was summoned by Princess Zelda of the Kingdom of Hyrule."

They were still...then spears lowered, and they parted ways.

"...you may pass...Irisviel."

Irisviel, known as the Exile, proceeded into the town.

Rabiyu was looking at Kai while the others were talking.

"His face is very familiar." She thought. "I wonder if..."

After a bow Rabiyu then looked between the new people.

"A pleasure Kai and Mister Deku. My name is Rabiyu."

The ranger then looked at Nora.

"It is a nice city." she said. "It's been years since the last time I went outside the forest. And it's been a long while since I came here."

Rabiyu then turned to the new person talking.

"Oh yeah. I do remember you." she said. "You're one of the few lucky ones. Also, I'm the only ranger, that's my...duty? job? something like that."

Daka was pretty used to his name being forgotten, mainly because very few can understand his language other than the Dekus. He tried to explain to the others (who seem consisted of mainly mercenaries for some suspicious reason) that his name was Daka, and not Mister Deku. "Waahoh. (Anybody understand my speaking?)" Daka said. "Waawah. (This is going to be tough to speak with everyone.)" Daka was okay with this team in a way, but he also felt, upset and misunderstood. But he did not want to give up. They were soon to meet with the Princess.

"Well, it's nice to meet you Daka!" Pixi said. "Huh? Pixi, you can understand Deku?" Kai asked, only a little surprised. "Well, yeah. I can speak many languages. I'll be translating what this little guy is saying." Pixi said.(This is all I can say right now. I will progress with the story later!)

As the group talked and prepared to meet Zwlda, guards rushed to the opposite door and all tool positions. All were ready, but swords were undrawn. The commotion waa not unheard, and finally the door opened.

In stepped Irisviel, her dress slightly shivering as she walked. She was nearly noiseless, her twin tails swaying gently at each step. Her red eyes blinked a few times, still adjusting to the light...and found herself in the midst of others. Behind her marched four guards, all with weapons drawn.

"I'm in the middle of the Castle, Callus. I highly doubt you require th entire legion to escort me."

One of them said nothing, only raised his sword half a foot. She sighed, and stood ten feet from the group, arms lazily crossed across her body under her breasts...just staring off into a wall.

She sighed, and stood ten feet from the group, arms lazily crossed across her body under her breasts...just staring off into a wall.

Then Kai noticed who may be one may be another one of the warriors summoned. She was being escorted by soldiers with their weapons drawn out. Was she important or something? Kai wondered about this. He was about to go talk to her until a soldier walked up to the group."The preparations are ready. The Princess shall see you now." He stated. The soldier then faced the four that were surrounding Iri. "Step back from the girl. The Princess would like to speak to all warriors summoned in private." He commanded. "Y-Yes sir!" The soldiers replied before doing what was told. They stepped away from Iri and withdrew their weapons."Now...Walk this way." The soldier then turned around and walked in a soldier fashion. Kai shrugged and copied the soldier's fashion of walking, taking the term literary. "Oh Kai....He's such a kid." Pixi said, follwing Kai.

The Soldier led the group to the throne room, but he stopped and stepped to the side of the doorway. "You will meet Princess Zelda in here. I will meet with you again shortly after." He said. Kai nodded and walked into the throne room, where a girl with a white and pink dress with blonde hair could be seen from the backside, for she was facing away from the group. Once the warriors entered the room, the door was closed by the soldier. The Throne Room. It was a very wide and open room. A carpet of red with yellow Hylian symbols were threaded on it. It was like a hallway to just a short walk up on a few stairs to the red chair that was fit for royality. A big stained glass window behind the chair featured a picture of the Triforce, with it shining brightly in all it's glory.

"...It seems that you all have answered my plea." The princess turned around, revealing her face. Kai however was stunned by her beauty. He coukdn't stop staring. Princess Zelda made her way down the few steps of stairs and walked towards the warriors chosen.

"I am thankful that you have all come here even on such short notice. As you know, I am indeed Princess Zelda." She said with an elegant bow. "Kai? Kai...?" This was Pixi trying to break Kai's stunned status. Even with her flying in front of Kai's face, he would not budge. As frozen as ice. It brought her to the point when she had to yell out....

"KAI!"

Of course, Kai snapped out of it, making a little jump due to the little fairy's loud voice. "Wh-What is it?" He said. Then a elegant voice interrupted the short talk. "You must Pixi and Kai." Zelda said, surprising Pixi mostly since Zelda was right behind her. She hid behind Kai's head. "O-Oh! Um, yeah, that's r-right." He responded. "H-How did you know?" Stupid question, he thought. She was a princess! How coukd she not know who he was? Then again...But still.

"I have heard about a little boy in green clothes sometimes roaming around closely to the village and castle with a little pink fairy." The princess said with a smile. Once she smiled, Kai blushed. He was about to go in Stun mode again, but he shook his head and snapped out of it. "Well, it's an honor to meet you, P-Princess Zelda..." He said, nervously. Zelda responded with a smile. And sneaked a small giggle to the fact that Kai blushed.

"Now I am expecting one more of you. I know she must be hiding around here somewhere. But would the rest of you like to introduce yourselves?" She said, in her kind, elegant voice.

Maxwell looked upon the beauty that was Zelda, and glanced at Kai, who was absolutely stunned, he simply raised an eyebrow at the scene as he then heard what Zelda had to say, he stepped forward, being the first to introduce himself, slightly bowing his head, none of the court manners that guards and civilians did, bowing their entire torsos, he simply moved his head greeting her, "An honor, Princess Zelda, my name is Maxwel Koris, a...mercenary by trade, may I ask why you chose me to this? I am curious" he left out a question for her.

"She looks just like her." she thought.

Rabiyu was watching the young Princess. Something from the deeps of her memories was trying to come out.

"My name is Rabiyu, your Grace" Rabiyu said while bowing. "Ranger of the Lost Woods. And like our friend here, I would like to know the reason you summoned us."
