Mother 3 is coming to the Wii U Virtual Console in Japan on December 17, Nintendo announced today. That same day, Nintendo is also releasing a Lucas Amiibo in the country.

Its quite sad that the most asked title is still not released in international shores. It would have been great to add the final game in mother franchise in eshops outside of Japan.

Jokes apart, give it some time. My hope is that we'll get it around e3 translated, as it takes some time to do that.

Plus, Earthbound was released on the VC in Japan, and than America decided to do the same later on, so who knows.

Right now Im just waiting on Mother 4, the hype for that game is real, even though it wont release til 2XXX.

Mother 1 already had an official translation. Mother 3 doesn't, so I wouldn't say it's as likely as Mother 1 was.

Play the fan translated version. This game is sooooooooooooo goooooooooood that everyone needs to play it!

Well, with it being on Japan's Virtual Console, the chances of it getting released internationally went up four-fold. Either way, if it ever does get released here in America, I'm getting it day one!

At this point I'm sure its only a matter of time before we get an official Mother 3 translation,if there's an Earthbound beginnings there has to be an Earthbound End or Earthbound Aftermath.Speaking of Mother I haven't played Earthbound beginnings in a while,I should go back and finish it.

True, but Im just saying from a business standpoint they recognized that the Mother fan base in the U.S. is big enough for them to at least consider a localization, I mean yes Mother 1 was translated already but if they didnt think it would sell, they still wouldnt have put in on the eshop.
