The Steam page for Final Fantasy IX is here. The release is currently "Early 2016" after earlier being "January 2016". iOS & Android versions are expected to launch at the same time.

It's great that Square's been cracking down on releasing FF games for Steam. This means that even PC gamers can experience Final Fantasy and people who have played the games before can play it again without too much effort. :D

Now if we can just ride it out until the inevitable X-3...(oh, yeah, and that VII Remake thing)

Tbh they are only doing it because it's so easy and there's a bit of demand. Haha.

Oh, yeah, I know that. After all, what's a company without knowing business practices, right? :P

I only meant that there's a benefit to Square doing this and that it gives more people an

opportunity to play this amazing game franchise. :D

It has to get a digital release, no games are released without one.

Well, the "PC Master Race" snobs lose. Don't get me wrong PC is a great platform, but having it as an only platform isn't very beneficial from a gamers perspective.

I'm not talking about someone having just one platform. Having your big games on Steam is very important.

Well they can start by making that so called exclusivity contract redundant. Something I have my doubts about...

It doesn't affect PC, hence why X/X-2 HD will be on Steam.
