I mean, remember back in 2006 when we were all super hyped for this game and wanted a release date badly? Ah, good time, gooooood times .

sadly FFXV has become one of those games i passively keep up with and my hype for it died a little while after it became FFXV.

 

i'm not saying that Versus XIII becoming XV changed my opinion of it but more that i used that point in time as a frame of reference.

 

although to be fair i was definitely more hyped when the combat looked similar to KH2 but i'm open to trying what they've got now. 

Well, looks like I'm straying up past 10:00 PM again. It's too bad my brother won't get to watch it with me, but I guess he can just watch the recording of it the next day.

What time zone are you in? I thought the event was supposed to be held in the U.S., like Los Angeles or Las Vegas, because I remember being surprised the the event wasn't in Japan.

this is awesome! Even though I'm not a final fantasy fan, it's really good to see other fellow gamers FINALLY get a release date to a game that they've been waiting for exactly a decade

I'm not really hyped to be honest, and it's at 4AM here. I'll just watch it when I've got time the next day.

I don't want to be 'that guy', but most of Tokyo Team's KH1 and KH2 remnants might have moved to a different division or left the company entirely. Nonetheless, we'll still get another team working on it.

I tweeted Sora96 and he also told me that, some went to work on XV tho but most went to a different division or left the company. I read somewhere that an osaka team member said working on 1.5 and 2.5 made the team realise what made them so great. There's still 10% of the tokyo staff working on it though, this is my biggest worry for the game.

I guess Osaka didn't entirely realize that 5-second Drive loads were not what made them great.
